Still in Brighton
I just don't get it.

The folks bought a £25 Panettone from the Italian deli. Twenty five pand.

I've had cheaper ones and this mega expensive one.

I'd pay £25 to eat a slice with clotted cream off the belly of a young Kelly Brook... but otherwise.... every time I'm given one I just don't get it? It's a fecking fruit loaf? Is there a proper Italian way to eat it to get the true experience or something?

I had a Tiramisu one, it didn't taste much of tiramisu flavour but it was nice. I've had some dry bland ones over the years though. They seem to stay fresh for weeks which is worrying, I hate to think the amount of crap put in them to keep them "fresh"

Had one for the last couple of years, generally go for a chocolate one from Lidl/Aldi but I ended up getting ours from Costco this year. Just cracked it open and it's lovely with a bit of Lactose free cream.

That fruity bread thing? I think they do a similar thing in Germany but I never got to taste it because just as I left the market I got it confiscated by the police, they later charged me with handling Stollen goods
I’m very sorry to hear this. Could you not have proven you bought it legally, by perhaps going back to the market vendor and clearing up the confusion? Either way, I hope it didn’t spoil your enjoyment of Germany, despite what sounds like some very heavy handed local policing.

To be honest i got let off lightly, getting done for the sausages and the cheese I had in my bag would have been a würst kase scenario

My wife loves it and I just don’t get it. Overpriced overhyped and overhere. Send it back I say, and bring on the Sussex Pudding.

Got given a couple for christmas - gave one away as a gift. Will probably throw the other one away.
I don't mind a straight forward one, but when they add chocolate and blackberries, not for me Jeff.

I can’t be bothered, I drank so much last night I’m laid up with a bad Hanover
'A bad Hanover'

A floosy from Islingword Road ?

Like I say. Slice it and layer it in a dish. Mix eggs, milk and sugar and pour over. Let it all soak in then whack it in the oven for a little while. Best bread and butter pudding you'll have.
