The least likeable person in football and not a very good manager either. Very happy he is gone and 100% never coming back even to say hello.

Extreme exaggerating. In a sport of eye-gouging Mourinho, Barton, Diouf, assorted corrupt owners, Archer, other stadium thieves.

RDZ was loved round these parts, right to the end eg the adoration at the end of season fans forum. You’re rewriting history. Worryingly your attacks will draw in a couple of thumpups from ungrateful haters who’ve lost perspective, forgetting the unprecedented great days under RDZ.

Blimey, it was a fun 18 months or so for me - I'd have RDZ back in a heartbeat
In the “De Zerbi was a great coach” corner we have Pascal Gross and Alexis MacAllister and in the “terrible manger” corner we have a bloke from Sweden who watches from a smoke filled room on a buffering stream.

Fill yer stalking boots there mate

Seriously, how do you think this plays itself out if/when it all goes tits-up. TB still owns all that prime real estate and won't make a loss on the deal. And if you believe in the power of TB's gorblimeyjustoneofus bobble hat then you're a muppet, pure and simple. Tho mainly simple :dunce:
You might have overdone your Scottish whiskey this year i think.

It's me that searched some of your old posts, mate. I have a very good memory, even of stuff from 10+ years ago, and knew they'd be easy to find - and they were with the search functionality on here.

Your assertions on Bloom's model for building a team for the PL turned out to be spectacularly wrong. And the belief that he was sinking millions into a loss-making club every year, not because he was a fan but so that he could build a modest sized hotel at Falmer, is just financial illiteracy.

Far be it from me to be trying to defend THPP here, but searching for someone’s post from
10+ years ago is worrying behaviour tbh. Quite creepy.

RDZ was fighting on behalf of us fans to push the club to be as ambitious as he and we wanted it to be. In the end tho, the club pushed back on that ambition ☹️
I miss his passion. Even the post match interviews were so entertaining. He got misinterpreted so many times from his lack of English but always had the clubs best interests at heart. He was frustrated with the injuries that ruined the season and European campaign. If only he had the current squad.
I find FH so boring. The passing possesion game has pretty much dried up. I managed to watch two FH post match interviews and was painful. Don't want to be negative but things just aren't the same as when Roberto was the main man.

Hansi Fick disagrees with you came to watch the Albion training sessions not once but twice when RDZ was here.
Arnie Slot also repeatedly made his players watch the Albion under DeZerbi to the point one of his players came over to take in a game.

Cool story. You can write a fan fiction about a world where Pascal Gross and Alexis Mac Allister decide who is a great manager for Brighton.

In the non-fictional world, the people who actually works for the club decided that Roberto wasn't great enough to keep his job, so he had to leave it. Your argument kind of loses power when this tearful fanboyism (I actually couldn't ever reach this level) meets the reality where I shared the "get rid"-corner with no other than Tony Bloom.

It’s not just the passing game all over the pitch we had triangles of players which gave the player on the ball options. The idea was to isolate the opposition defenders to one on ones so we could over load the box when in possession.

So you were in the room at the time of discussions? You are guessing like the rest of us.

Not before getting us to the last 16 of the Europa League. That’s the standard now. It was 13th in the top flight, then 9th, and then finally 6th with a decent European campaign to follow.

Meanwhile Potter was getting himself sacked from a billion pound spending big six team in less time and with a lower win ratio.

RDZ is a typical Italian football manager, passionate about the game and will say it how he sees it. Whether you liked him or not he gave us some great times also some low times as well. For me I loved the man, but he has moved on. Good luck to him hope he does well in the future. However I hope FH goes on to do the same or even better with us. Nobody can tell if RDZ would have us better than where we are now with the signing we have made. I will just trust the process with the 2 most important people at the club, PBOBE and Tony Bloom.
Seen the best football I have ever seen an Albion team play under RDZ , 6 months of scintillating football,
under FH I dont what system we are playing , we have not improved since the beginning of the season , I know who I th8nk is the better manager

Accusing Bloom of being a duplicitous property / asset stripper - given the clubs recent history - is pretty insulting even when (successfully) trying to troll NSC on Xmas day. I mean fair play and all that but this sort of nonsense overshadows what is a useful thread and points about Hurzeler’s flaws, the tail end of RDZ and squad building.

This thread has an air of a troll who has caught a few and then got angry about it.

Self trolling, if you will 😂

In pro wrestling parlance, he “worked himself into a shoot”. (This isn’t as dirty as it sounds).

Funny thread though, A+ trolling.

And another chance for the Potter and RDZ evangelist to take their arguments for a spin.

Everyone's a winner 😂
