Going to my niece's place for the afternoon, to meet up with about 20 close family. Hopefully get some football in before and maybe after. We will have to take two cars for the six of us, but Mrs Wz and daughter's partner have offered to drive. Result

Just about to massage the anchovy, garlic, rosemary and lemon butter into a leg then enjoy football all day from 1230.

Nice.
Did you get a book on alternative medicine for Xmas then?

What happened to 12th Night?
Bugger that. Christmas is over (unless you are particularly religious). Always put the tree up for a week, and then clear up on Boxing Day. It was different when the kids were young but we've done our entertaining so no need to keep the tat up for any longer.

A few pigs in blankets for breakfast with a mug of tea, followed by a leftovers sandwich for lunch and I'll be putting a bit of a spread on later for people to pick at.

Enjoying watching City's malaise with the in-laws who are City fans.

A very lazy day as both kids aren't very well, may even partake in a cider later.

We went Xmas Eve so missed the tractor runs. It wasn't the same as the last few years, a lot quieter, spoke to a couple of the guys who were collecting for charity and they said they'd still had a lot of visitors over the run up to Xmas but everyone commented on the drop in atmosphere. A great shame as it was always a fun event to attend. Hopefully they can get back to normal next year.

Unfortunately we didn't go this year.
Down to Hastings yesterday for Christmas lunch, a long day, but journies up and down both great as hardly any traffic on M25, plus the A21 was open out of Hastings complete with pot holes.

Boxing Day is the BEST. My problem is choosing which match. May go for Forest v Tottingham

THE best day of the holiday season. No cooking for five hours, giving pricy devices and receiving socks, tidying up wrapping paper or playing games you don’t understand half pissed.

Just a fridge full of slightly dodgy food, the rest of the booze and non stop football. Thank ****.
Alternatively a f***ing dreadful drive to Canvey Island that took an hour longer than it should have due to all the wankers queuing for Bluewater and Lakeside.

Sober all day due to the return drive late this evening. The roads should be quieter at least.

I’m a bit concerned you seem to be suggesting you’ll run out of booze after today though.

Yuk.

Would be happy to swap a pain in the ar&e car journey for lugging a load of luggage onto trains and replacement buses from London to Norfolk at the busiest time of the year though 🙄

That’s a bit shit for you.

Drinking tomorrow and NYE will be out of the house and I’m contemplating a crack at Dry January so the Portslade wine lake is currently at very manageable levels.

I do have a bottle of special edition Talisker that the good lady got me for Crimbo but at 60% proof I won’t be finishing that for a good while, for fear of death.

Rollercoasters all day at Universal Studios, same as yesterday :)
While that sounds like great fun I shiver just from the thought of going out to do something, nevermind rollercoasting on a different continent...
