I think Minteh is massively, massively under rated on here.

He’s raw and makes mistakes and bad decisions at the moment but he’s shown huge promise as far as I’m concerned and he makes an impact and things happen already. I think he will be the best of the lot. Twice the player of Adingra IMO.
I think he looks like an awful footballer. Runs fast and that’s about it. Think all our other signing have shown enough to shown they can make it but he’s just lacking the basics. Insane money for a player that can’t even control the ball.

We’re not set up to play at any of his strengths. I’d also argue he’s our only winger with the skillset he has in terms of pure pace, direct running, and a desire to shoot.

I think he’s one of those players that would look brilliant in a counter attacking or transition side. We just aren’t that.

And let’s be honest, none of our wingers have shone this year.

I agree with the first bit.

Minteh has huge potential but we’re going to have to put up with the rawness for a while. Rotating with the likes of March, Gruda, Georginio and Kadıoğlu means that he’ll hopefully get the minutes he needs but not at the detriment to the team. He should have bagged an assist in the last game if Mitoma had got a bit more on his cross.

However, Adingra is top quality IMHO, his problem is that as a right winger, he is pretty average. He is at his best at left wing but Mitoma is clearly better at this point. I think either him and/or Enciso will be shipped out on loan in January which could be an issue if our Japanese ace gets injured.

This is a top half EPL player:

Scores below:

1. Kadıoğlu: 7 - Great goal against Liverpool. He makes stuff happen. Very useful as a utility player but he is never going to solve our defensive frailties at fullback, he could even make them worse.

2. Wieffer: 7 - A badly timed injury and some high profile mistakes has meant he has had a tough introduction to the EPL but he is getting better every game. Loads of power, great tackling and slick passing. There is a lot more to come from this guy.

3. Georginio: 8 - Quite a good start before some MotM performances. A telepathic relationship with Welbz was essential to our strong start. But with Dat Guy on the sidelines, he has lost his mojo. He needs to bounce back ASAP. He has not struck up a relationship with either Pedro or Ferguson yet and we are suffering the consequences. He is actually a ‘6’ with recency bias but I’m judging him on the whole of the first half of the season.

4. Minteh: 6 - An absolute monster in pre-season but after that, we’ve only seen flashes of what he can do. I guess he is a couple of seasons away from realising his potential but you can see that he has the ability to play at a very high level.

5. O’Riley: 6 - A horrific challenge by a lower league thug followed by an astonishing winner against Citeh are the lows and highs but he is not up to speed yet at a level so much high than the MTL where he was the top dog. Unfortunately for him, Wieffer is playing pretty well and the minutes he is so desperate for might not be forthcoming for some time, especially if Hinshelwood and Milner get fit. I don’t worry about him but he is not standing out in midfield like players such as Baleba.

6. Gruda: 6 - Another player with limited minutes due to annoying injuries. He looked very good again Liverpool in the league cup but has failed to capitalise. It’s not that he has done anything bad, it’s just that he has not done anything brilliant (like Georginio). I worry about where his minutes are going to come from but at some point, he is going to be absolute class once he gets properly up to speed in this division.

Minutes are SO important with new signings. A good example is Igor (up until his Leicester catastrophe) who has looked very good with a proper run of games.

I suspect Moder will leave in January and could be followed by Lamptey. I believe the club will be looking at the defensive positions in this upcoming window with a view to plugging the holes that are leading to us conceding pretty shite goals. God only knows how we’re going to cope with Arsenal’s set-piece prowess in a few weeks. They beautifully murdered Palace. I can’t see us avoiding the same fate unless Dunk and JPvH can step-up and cut out mistakes out. At least we should have Veltman to help now.

Rutter and Minteh I like a lot. Was expecting more from Wieffer, O’Riley and Kadioglu by now but some bad luck there but let’s see them kick on now, they are relatively experienced and we need them to contribute consistently this season. Gruda should go on loan but I’d like Yalcouye back. ACD stay on loan

Here's mine...

Overall I'm pleased with the potential most if not all have shown so far. There's no "dear God what have we done" signings, even if you can expect one or two of these to eventually not work out for us (as with any bunch of signings).

Not surprised and not concerned but A LITTLE disappointed in the impact of the "should be good immediately"-players. Would have hoped at least one of Ferdi, Wieffer and O'Riley would have made a bigger impact by now. Not catastrophy they haven't though.

Wieffer
Performances so far: 4/10 - generally underwhelming.

Think he'll grow into a solid 6/10 PL midfielder, bit like Pröpper; good enough to be a squad player with us but maybe not much than that.

Minteh
Perfomances so far: 4/10 - a mix of mainly very bad performances and a few quite good ones

Think in due time he will become a very good mid table PL player but perhaps not reach the very top.

O'Riley
Performances so far: 5/10

Very hard to tell really. Don't feel like I can put a rating on him but "meh" is the verdict so far. Hope and believe he can be a good player for us though.

Brajan Gruda
Performances so far: 4/10

Similar as above really, but quite convinced he will be a top, top player and compete for a starting spot by the end of this season. His base technique is at a really high level.

Ferdi
Performances so far: 4/10

You can see he has the technical and physical aspects in place but so far he's mainly looked really nervous and struggled with his positioning in both build up and defense. Obviously injuries haven't helped him and its far too early to judge him as a signing (my guess is that he is at least "good enough").

Georginio Rutter
Performances so far: 7/10

This is a good, hard-working player who will be a superstar for us once Joao Pedro is sold. Its a bit cake-on-cake to have both of them on the pitch but this guy works hard and has great technique and should be someone who could score ten goals from the AMC position when we've managed to polish his decision making a bit.

Already important in the squad and will be a key player in a year.

Yalcouye, Cozy-Blueberry-guy, Ibrahim Osman
Seen a lot of Yalcouye and become even more convinced that he will be a top player for us and might already be good enough for our squad. Not seen the Blackburn loanee, whos name escapes me right now, but thought he looked very promising in the pre-season. Ibrahim Osman probably needs a recall and a new loan at a slightly smaller club. I've not seen A LOT of him for Feyenoord but the little I've seen indicates it'll be a while before he's good enough for us, if it happens.

Rutter - 8 - Love him - work rate - skill, strength. His understanding with Welbeck is exciting and one of the reasons for our recent failings.
Wieffer - 7 - Looked great in pre-season and is starting to show it in the Prem - Baleba - Weiffer should be our starting midfield IMO
Ferdi - 7 - exactly what we needed - FB, WB, who can play on both sides - great signing, shame about the injuries.
Gruda - 6 - I like what I've seen so far.
Minteh - 6 - Will be interesting to see how he develops. Potential to be very, very good, if he can lift his head up and pick better options.
O’Riley - 6 - Looks decent - Not sure he's going to get the chances his talent deserves, when the full squad is assembled he's 3rd choice in his preferred positions.

I could argue a bit about some of the numbers, but I’m totally in agreement with the overall sentiment of this.
