Nah if only we had signed Neal Maupay, like Marseille did this summer, we'd be scoring goals for fun now. That makes a massive assumption that there were the players out there that would improve us, and were available to buy (their club wasn't refusing to sell to us mid season, and at a reasonable price) and that those players would have been willing to join us.
Don't you think that if those all existed in the mid season window, then it's highly likely we would have signed them in during RDZ's last season. The fact it didn't happen may be simply the opportunity wasn't there to sign them, and it didn't matter who the manger was at the time or how many tantrums they threw.
Another one who refuses to see that RDZ would not have come here without the squad and style of play Potter left him to hit the ground running. Quite sad really, especially as he seems to have made minimal effort to keep Trossard and spent most of his time here trying to sell Caicedo and Ali Mac as being too good for Brighton.Like I said on an earlier thread, RDZ was Box Office and Potter looked like he worked in a Box Office.
And the new kid? An inexperienced yes man. But probably what we needed given it was likely there was blue touch paper left all over Lsncing and Falmer.
The reason we got RDZ was he was jobless when Graham f***ed off mid season with the entire coaching staff.Another one who refuses to see that RDZ would not have come here without the squad and style of play Potter left him to hit the ground running. Jury still out on Fab for me, comes across as a bit lost to me at the moment.
And the fact that he inherited a team in the top four of the PLThe reason we got RDZ was he was jobless when Graham f***ed off mid season with the entire coaching staff.
Well we were around the relegation zone for most of Potter’s first two seasons and no he didn’t- because funnily enough Chelsea weren’t flashing their knickers at GP at that pointAnd the fact that he inherited a team in the top four of the PL
Would he have come here if we were around the relegation zone?
You really think Chelsea made their decision to poach Potter on the start to the season he left?Well we were around the relegation zone for most of Potter’s first two seasons and no he didn’t- because funnily enough Chelsea weren’t flashing their knickers at GP at that point
I hate this sort of pointless nihilism. RDZ has gone. He was great in season 1. Season 2 not so much His transfer decisions were poor, and expensive eg Ansu Fati, Dahoud etc.... with RDZ in charge and a £200m war chest at his disposal when we most needed it to properly compete in the Europa League knockout stages. Or even if he'd been told to just bite the bullet til the summer when his concerns would be addressed in full.
Oh well, mustn't grumble. Got some nice shiny new infrastructure coming down the line and a nice new Wally From St Pauli guy who just repeats the meaningless mantra Trust The Process while all the while floundering
And...RELAX!
Indeed, and then it all fell apart, as did Roberto.
Quite
Imagine having to live with having your trousers pulled down by a good mate.Imagine going to Rome and playing your adopted son rather than a real goalkeeper..

Of course you do, your hate knows no bounds
@Tom Hark Preston Park slagged off Bloom’s management of the club circa 2014 and was convinced that putting money into our Cat 1 academy and associated youth development was the wrong strategy.
He also seemed to have a theory that Bloom had sunk £200m+ of his own cash into BHA for no other reason other than to be able to build a hotel next to the A2
Fair enough but he was not employed purely on the start to the season he left? There was no grand long term plan to sign Potter. Tuchel’s sacking was knee-jerk, by many accounts Boehly regretted it.

Best of luck to you, hope you manage to find, toss or eat the dwarf (depends on what 'Racing Reindeers' is).
Never change Icy. I’m off for a game of Racing Reindeers. Merry Christmas!
