... with RDZ in charge and a £200m war chest at his disposal when we most needed it to properly compete in the Europa League knockout stages. Or even if he'd been told to just bite the bullet til the summer when his concerns would be addressed in full.

Oh well, mustn't grumble. Got some nice shiny new infrastructure coming down the line and a nice new Wally From St Pauli guy who just repeats the meaningless mantra Trust The Process while all the while floundering:shrug:

And...RELAX! :smokin:

The same RDZ who got completely found out in the PL in his last 6 months, who had a pitiful track record when given control of transfers, and who fell out with key squad members on a regular basis?

Not sure I'd trust that process, not that Hurzeler has proven to be the great saviour yet either.

Rose tinted nostalgia based on a peak that we had already long passed by the time RDZ left the club.

RDZ gave up the ghost when the club failed to match his ambition. PBOBE even admitted as much. Claimed the club liked to be challenged by RDZ. But only up to a certain point eh? Then he had to be got rid of, lest he openly challenge the club narrative

Mason Greenwood was NEVER coming here, see ya Roberto

Mouthing off to the press about his dissatisfaction with the model he signed up to was RDZ’s downfall. Was he thick or just an egoist to rival Poyet?

Anyway RDZ is doing rather well at Marseille so far, in a league nowhere near PL level , so I’m sure he hasn’t the regrets that the OP has

Yup, far better to hire a Yes Man who will opt for the easy life and bank the inevitable pay-off
Hmm, a manager who runs with the model presented to him before signing up or the one who throws a strop and destabilises the club when he decides he doesn’t like the model he signed up for?

Let me think about that one.

The pay off is a possibility of course but not guaranteed if you have the patience TB has if he’s happy with his choice and is willing to give him more than half a season.

The proper passionate fans loved RDZ. Tho I guess you'll need to take our word for it

No. RDZ was a decent enough manager - but he was moody, negative, stubborn (both in personality and tactics) and next to no personality apart from being an edgy Italian with broken English.

Not even in my top 5 favourite Albion managers of all time. He had a great squad to work with.

RDZ was fighting on behalf of us fans to push the club to be as ambitious as he and we wanted it to be. In the end tho, the club pushed back on that ambition ☹️

Thats quite possible. He really doesn't give a shit about you or Brighton though.

Anyway, in the future the proper passionate fans will benefit from it in a similar way as the improper sensible fans, so there should be positives in the future (if you want them, that is).

In my computer
I loved the RDZ flair and passion, but he was a loose cannon. Spilling the beans on internal wrangles in public interviews was poor, his dogmatic adherence to his strategy was dangerous…I can see why he didn’t stay and as soon as someone wants out…then for me they go…With RDZ’s tactics I think our last couple of results could actually have been even worse than they were…

Potter had a way better squad to work with. Except that guy wouldn't know a great player if they were to bite him in the bum
