[Albion] Away fans to be moved at the Amex from 2027/28 (was 2025/26)

Anyone got any guesses on how far into the WSL the away supporters will be? As someone who has been in W1B since the opening of the Amex I am not overly chuffed about the prospect of sitting with my family within spitting distance of the away supporters...

Overall these plans are good and 32,500 has a nice ring about it. Probably the maximum capacity now on the site? I bet privately Bloom and Barber wish they could expand the stadium further and I wonder what the capacity would be if we had to build a new stadium now, 40,000?
Moving the away fans to the south west corner means they're in the least noticeable part of the stadium as far as the TV cameras are concerned. A pain for those who have to move but as others have said, the club is giving plenty of notice. And it will be an opportunity to build another vocal part of the stadium in the south - a throw back to the Goldstone of the late 1970's. It's yet another example of the club improving so credit where credit's due. Thank goodness for Tony Bloom, the best owner in the football league.

I've said this before - wherever they build the women's stadium they would do well do so in a manner where is could scale to be bigger than the mens. That way if the women start to regularly need 20k+ and the men capacity could go over 32.5k then swap!!

My reading of it is that the £40m is for;

700 extra seats
Safe standing
Changes for moving away fans
New fan zone
New club shop
North concourse refurbishment
~~Monorail~~

That all sounds pretty good to me.

Think they're going to design it for female fans so a lot of loos to re-configure!

As long as it’s warm. That’s the main reason I go into the club shop in midwinter. Better in there than on a draughty concourse.

Minor detail, but I wonder what will happen when we have a home cup game and 15% allocation is offered to the away club?

Will W3A/W3B or S1G/S1F be used to accommodate more away fans?

That was quick , canvassing 27 000 people for their views and on Christmas Eve too.

I imagine a large majority of Albion fans, don't even know about it or don't really care, there's a relatively small group (3000 people) directly affected and similar small group of people who for some reason are unable to cope with seeing away fans cheering on TV. As for 8-9 points bonus, show your working! Improved acoustics? You have researched that too?

For the club, it's about maxing income, fair enough. The rest of the arguments are just fluff to get the fanboys arguing with affected people like me. Saves the bad publicity and the club can stay out of it. Bit like when Palace booted long term season ticket holders out for the Always Ultras and we all scoffed that that wouldn't happen here.

If you are that sure the SW season ticket holders will be offered "the pick of the ground" presumably you will happy to offer up your season ticket seat to anyone who fancies picking it and then taking pot luck with whichever randoms you end up sitting near in the amazing new improved acoustics that you mention will now be available to the South Stand.

That's what's disappointed some of us, thanks for the empathy!
