Absolutely brutal.
Watched a few of his YT videos but this stuff on Prime is gut wrenching.
5million $US prize, 1000 start, only 1 winner. People offer to ‘walk away’ to save 10 others. Contestants take 100,000$ to send others home with nothing.
60 people in a room and they have to convince someone to leave with nothing to save the others.
Cant wait for episode 3…..

Based on this review, I have not watched it, and had no desire to.
Is there any significant part of the review that you would strongly disagree with?
Not trying to call you out, just curious ...

It wounds horrendous. But then I have never been a fan of reality TV and the narcissists that humiliate themselves for the entertainment of... Well I will stop short here as they are hugely popular and have been for a while.

I am also told by my kids that Mr Beast is a massive prick.

Both the OP and the article you posted suggest this is not something I should let curiosity draw me to. Although I do find it curious why people choose to watch such things, possibly while also recognising the satire and social commentary of things like squid game and the hunger games... Or possibly not.

Mr Beast has already done small 'Squid Games' episodes that I 'think' only involved 1 person (I could be wrong). When Jnr used to watch him a couple of years ago I thought he was one of the good guys that paid for random peoples shopping & helped charities etc.
Squid Games is not my thing, people were raving about it & I just decided to watch one episode & ended up watching all of it. 🤦‍♀️ I found it disturbing, strangely addictive but with the knowledge it wasn't real. I'm undecided whether to watch series 2 or not.
I'm now going to have to watch this. Hopefully they don't do Red Light, Green Light in real life, as it's American! I literally had to turn away from that. 😮

Watched a few of his videos on YouTube. A mix of giving people money and arsing around. Now some concerning stories about his entourage and he is now trying to cash in on his millions of kid followers with chocolate bars and processed food. Whilst teaming up with Logan Paul who is a real POS, luring followers into NFT scams and trying to tie up people calling him out in specious SLAPP lawsuits. Throw in Musk and his ilk and despite decades of dystopian films warning of such things, we seem to be moving more and more to rich people dictating what we should think and do. You don't need to be a Murdoch and scoop up all of the old style media these days.
