It not using it AND not bothering to list it that attracts the most attention.
Precisely. The fact there are always seats dotted about where I can see them (over there on the East terrace) proves that lots of people fail to attend or list their ticket.

It is why we call the attendance the 'pretendance' after all.

The idea of the club phoning me to see if I am going to attend, or if I have been absent due to something that makes it impossible to list the ticket (like death or imprisonment) is frankly absurd.
This is quite the norm at the Albion. Someone I used to sit next to in the North died after 45 years of going. His daughter in law (I think), who he usually went with, wasn’t allowed to keep it in the family.

Money before fans.
That's nonsense. That is 'fans on a waiting list' before 'season ticket holder who imagines he has bought a possession that can be bequeathed'.

Christ, given the absolute bollocks criticism that is thrown at our club by entitled fans, I can understand now why there is such a clamour among certain sorts for Starmer Out, and General Election Tomorrow

I have a friend who’s in the same position, difference is, he heads up security and basically forgets to swipe in every game, he’s received the same threat. (Don’t think it’s got as far as tickets listed though).

Presumably, he’s acted on it as he hasn’t mentioned it in the last two weeks….

More broadly, if you’re a season ticket holder, unless you default on payment can they do this?

Feels very heavy handed….
I got an email which I felt was threatening after the Southampton game, but when I looked it hadn’t sold out, so I didn’t list it. I was told I had to attend five games to keep my season ticket. The wording was very patronising.
Customer Services is a misnomer!

My son got an email. His wife was in hospital in intensive care having been put into an induced coma due to Covid aged 23.

Someone needs to engage with the club and tell them to f*** off.

Having just read the season ticket terms and conditions in full, unless its in the tiddly small print somewhere, I can't see anything written about mandatory levels of attendance or required levels of attendance before the club takes the ticket back. Which is what they are doing, given that they own the season ticket. Unless there is more to this story than printed, I'd feel very aggreived.

An equally sensible system that would take 30 seconds, would be allowing me to transfer the ticket to a registered member, seeing as I’ve paid for that ticket for a season. You know, like most sensible clubs do.

Less profiteering, more bums on seats.

And yes, it takes only a few minutes, but it doesn’t get sold unless the main allocation is sold out (or at all in the case of everyone I know who’s tried it). So, from my experience, it’s a waste of my time, even if it is 30 seconds.
But you can do that. I transferred my ST ticket to one of my sons when I was away for the Forest game. And the ST holder that sits next to me transferred his to my other son when he couldn’t make the Palace game.

It’s not difficult.

Indeed. However, charging full adult price when an under 18 might want to go doesn't help
I might be wrong, but is this because the original ticket was full price and therefore the ticket holder will receive 1/19th (minus £1) of their season ticket price as a refund if the seat is re-sold.

Seats that were originally sold as concessionary are being offered at a concessionary price - see below (starred).

Agreed. I’ve had a few emails this season urging me to make sure my ticket is on the exchange if I can’t go. I’m a regular. Can understand it rubs some people up the wrong way if they happen to be in difficult circumstances at the time but don’t think it’s to be taken as a personal slight. They’re just trying to fill the stadium.

Yes I think this is the reason which again I understand. My wife and son are both MyAlbion+ members for sometime and I think by being a member you are automatically on the waiting list. I see the Club are flogging half season season tickets so its not full up is it ?

Purchasing new season tickets for this current season was based on attendance over the 23-24 season. My youngest was top priority for purchasing one as he went to about 14 home games last season across League, Cups and Europa League. If you are currently upgrading your Dad's seat to your wife or son that will count towards their attendance (my sons was based on a couple of purchases and mainly season ticket sharing from other friends who couldn't go). So they should have a good chance at high priority and should be able to purchase the same seat should your Dad have to give it up.

I believe a ST holder can transfer to an Albion + member once for free, if they want to transfer again the ST holder has to pay a one off fee of £20.
I honestly think more ST holders would be happy to transfer to a member if they didn’t have to pay the fee.

I completely get it and I too want the stadium full and am usually a avid supporter at how our club is run. But most people will believe that a season ticket is theirs whether they go or not, so might ignore that email. Urging isn't contractually binding. But what the club are actually saying is if you don't list it we will do it for you whether you intended to or not. I can't see that clearly stated in the T's and C's unless I'm looking in the wrong place.
