Pretty sure that I'm going to have my season ticket revoked at the end of the year for not using the ticket personnally enough.

Realistically it is 8 more years before my weekend childcare complications are behind me.

Oh well. Pity. But my bank manager will be happier.
Bank manager? It’s the 80’s yay🤣

Then that’s their fault for the profiteering system that’s in place. So many more seats would be filled if a simple system was in place that worked for passing on tickets. But no, they want more money.

The biggest problem is that the exchange itself is a waste of time. I’ve had to put two up for sale this year and neither ticket has sold. Had I been able to pass it on, they’d have had bums in seats and extra money from concessions.

It’s greed, pure and simple.

For my part, I hope there’s a ton of facts missing from the OPs post (although I highly doubt it). Otherwise this is sickening to me, and shows how much contempt the club continue to have for fans.
Not in my experience. Ours have sold every time (4/5 games per season on average) we've put them on. Last week I put the Brentford tickets up at 9pm and they sold in about an hour.

I appreciate some have had good experiences. Everyone I know is already at the “what’s the point in listing it on the exchange” stage. I think the system is a profiteering mess, that has nothing to do with making the job easier for fans, and everything to do with trying to squeeze more out of people at a time when the cost of living crisis has hit, but we’re still paying footballers £10,000s a week. It’s crazy for me, but I appreciate others have had a better experience.

Are there any sold out games ?? .........Last few home games many empty seats. Maybe Brentford but surely Arsenal will be a sell out.
Brentford, Arsenal and Everton have all officially sold out. Most empty seats are likely to be those listed on the exchange that didn't resell and other now shows.

As long as you list it on the exchange, even if it doesn’t sell, you should probably be ok.

It not using it AND not bothering to list it that attracts the most attention.

It takes 30 seconds - you have nothing to lose by listing it.

One other thing about listing the tickets is that you are not allowed to specify ‘don’t leave a single seat’ if you are listing a pair. More than once, someone has bought one of my 2 tickets only, leaving a single seat that nobody wants and even when other single seats were available. Probably it’s done on the thought that you’ll get a bit of extra room if there’s a spare seat adjacent to you but not great for the one trying to sell them as a pair!

That would be so easy to fix too.

An equally sensible system that would take 30 seconds, would be allowing me to transfer the ticket to a registered member, seeing as I’ve paid for that ticket for a season. You know, like most sensible clubs do.

Less profiteering, more bums on seats.

And yes, it takes only a few minutes, but it doesn’t get sold unless the main allocation is sold out (or at all in the case of everyone I know who’s tried it). So, from my experience, it’s a waste of my time, even if it is 30 seconds.

This - doesn't seem like all the facts are known on here perhaps. If there was nothing more than a single email before this action was taken I'd be surprised
I have a friend who’s in the same position, difference is, he heads up security and basically forgets to swipe in every game, he’s received the same threat. (Don’t think it’s got as far as tickets listed though).

Presumably, he’s acted on it as he hasn’t mentioned it in the last two weeks….

More broadly, if you’re a season ticket holder, unless you default on payment can they do this?

Feels very heavy handed….

Agree - the software should force anyone wanting single seat to choose a single seat, particularly when it's late in the process. I've bought tickets online for other things where you can't leave single seats mid-row through your seat choice

I've had positive experience with the exchange also.

We haven't got the biggest stadium, so as a business model that is trying to compete with powerhouses, you can see why the club want to ensure maximum revenue, especially now with PSR. I get your sentiment though.

Interesting…I have missed 5 of the home games this year and put 3 on the exchange and 2 to a member + mate

does that mean I will also get a letter at some time?
Wouldn't have thought so, it seems to be if you don't attend and take no action to allow others to go instead that attracts letters

What really bugs me is how the ticket website splits the blocks in the middle of the rows rather than at the aisle.

This means I can list mine and my son’s season ticket but they look like single seats as they are either side of the mid-block split.

The block splits are price points..................we're on the edge of the cheaper side of our block
