Genius and legend are often over used but what a sign off, simply stunning in my view.

Oh and Asquith has pretty good bum for a man of his age.

Very good for what it was but I would have preferred an 'episode' I think. Don't get me wrong, it was great to see all those faces and a clever way to bring them together.

We have been spoiled.
We have indeed.

It was very much one for the devotees with all the callbacks right from the start in every sense. I think every episode was referred (double r) to. The more people have watched and rewatched, the more they understood. It was as close as possible to a love letter for the fans, and subsequently the least accessible to new viewers.

I laughed out loud with the "30 minute nothings and a duff 4th one every series".
They got that from the 10 year old criticism of S1's Last Gasp!

I didn't love it, but that's because I love the dark episodes and season nine had been up there with the darkest so far. Saying that, it was a fitting ending with some genuinely touching moments. Oh, and the Mark Gatiss cameo was genius.
Was he in Midsomer Murders?

Some really nice moments but I have to admit Inside Number 9 has trained me to expect some shocking moment towards the end that will make me realise the rest of it was genius.

Didn't come for me, in this episode. Almost felt more like an after the series has already ended kind of retrospective, rather than a true episode.

That said, I'm never going to complain about being asked to watch Tim Key. Love him.

Has anyone got back to the escape room episode to see if there is a shot of Steve that's clearly not him? 100% there will be.
That was my first thought too, I need to rewatch that episode and find out.

Tremendous send off in my opinion. Loved it, the miscredit of Amanda Abbington and Katherine Parkinson at the very end made me laugh too.

I thought it was brilliantly done, almost like a bit of a love letter to the fans (and a nod to the online stuff about a bus episode)

Loved it

Haven't seen this posted anywhere else. Really interesting behind the scenes documentary aired tonight and also on iPlayer.

Thanks, will check this out!

Seeing the play in March and very excited about what they have planned.

It was a fascinating watch for us devotees. Sorry, I should've posted something earlier this evening! Well done @SkirlieWirlie for stepping in!

Great to hear their thoughts on the theatre too - I've got tickets for the first Saturday show in January. Can't wait!
