This, for me it is about trying to enjoy these good times. We have a team full of exciting young talent, play mostly exciting attacking football and sit in the top half of the toughest league in the world.

Why people choose to be negative about this and attack our young payers (the Gruda, thread is just insane) is beyond me.

We have never had it so good and for those that can't enjoy it, I despair.

Still as long as they are happy. 😂
Surely if we played exciting attacking football we would score a few more goals
How many times yesterday did the comms say there is no one in the box for Brighton?

I only watched the second half and we did a lot of attacking but lacked in the finishing.

So no, playing attacking football doesn't necessarily result in lots of goals. See also Potterball.

Expectations are understandably quite high and draws against anyone other than a “big” club seem to be greeted almost like a defeat by many these days, myself included.

So are you getting entitled?
You need to add "No I am not but there certainly seems to be a growing number who are" to the poll. Some of the comments are getting absurd. FWIW if we consistently finish top half without having constant relegation scares and the occasional tilt at silverware with the hope, sometimes realised, of a season playing in Europe, I will be over the moon. If we end up back in the championship, I will still be happy, we are after all a well run club, with a wonderful home, and no longer fearful of obliteration and then we have the excitement of fighting to get back into the PL to look forward to. When I speak to fellow football supporters over here and say who I support, I generally get a response along the lines of "you must be happy" and yes I am.

I have held the same pessimism from League One to the premier league. But I consider myself entitled now because I expect a level of performance befitting to our stadium, expenditure and fanbase. That said I do not think performances and results like Wolves (H), Leicester (A) are anything to do with entitlement. Those are horrendous results given the context. Other results, such as Palace at home, honestly don't bother me too much as I assume they are going to happen.

If entitled means wanting your team to do better then yes I am, I am also sure our Chairman has the same view

But I don't believe we have some god given right to win games against the bottom 6 we have to turn up and earn a win, in a few of those games we just didn't turn up - Palace & Southampton to name 2. In some others (Ipswich, Wolves, Leicester, West Ham ) we were the better team but didn't get the points we deserved that said Newcastle battered us and lost, Bournemouth deserved at least a point.

Still doesn't stop me wanting better but to achieve that we have to look at our failings and improve on them if we are going to get there.
