I'm normally pretty good at looking at things from all sides – and cutting people a bit of slack for what they do or say – but this guy is a grade A attention-seeking berk of the highest order who, seemingly, gets off on being a total prick to pretty much anyone who he disagrees with.

Odd bloke.
He should run for president

release some prisoners and get him in jail - thats what we all want to see now , Starmer told us

Hows the 2 lads that broke the coppers nose at the airport btw

Two men have been charged with assaulting police officers following a brawl at Manchester Airport in July.

Mohammed Amaaz, 20, faces two charges of causing actual bodily harm, one charge of assaulting an emergency worker and one charge of common assault. Muhammed Amaad, 25, is charged with causing actual bodily harm.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said no police officers will be charged.

I don’t mind Joey Barton. He largely sees the world in a different way from me but so be it. I don’t know the details of his latest outrage but I see from the URL posted it’s connected with Jeremy Vine who’s a bit of a troublemaker and self-publicist in his own way. But I extend the same tolerance to him too.
I don't mind stalinists, nazis, centrists, Christians or any other kind of weird people with weird opinions. They can all sit and have a beer with me and we can talk shit through the night.

People who repeatedly get caught with various violent offences? Those I do mind, and Barton is in the category.

Without knowing his exact story, I imagine he comes from really tough circumstances and was never going to be Mr Nice or Mr Clean.

Unlike most people with bad upbringings, he's had 20 years of fame, money and love that he could have used to grow beyond his roots. And he's binned it completely. He's not even interested in different perspectives or understanding other people with trouble. To me he is the equivalent of someone suffering from drug abuse who then goes on to become a cocaine dealer. There just doesn't seem to be a lot inside him. A frightening person.

Nailed.

He's got worse as he's got older.

Excellent 'outsider' perspective.

Sometimes it takes someone outside the room to see inside.

He can't even get a gay slur correct. Which is interesting, because he's not even homophobic (he's often spoken about the need for gay equality)

All this really shows in some kind of narcissism and the need for attention. He's rendered himself irrelevant. Although it's natural that some have morphed him into a kind of footballing Andrew Tate. A sporty Katie Hopkins with a willy.

One day he'll wake up and suddenly wish the clock back.

That’s because you’re not really a Brighton fan. If you’d seen the unpunished assault he carried out at the Amex when playing for Burnley you’d know why many here have no time for him.

Or maybe you saw it and didn’t care.
