Always loved Andoni Iraola ever since that time at the Amex where his team refused to engage in our roll-the-ball-around-on-your-foot-out-of-defence thing and left our lot looking like complete wankers :lolol:

Wasn’t that the first half, then our manager’s tactics and players took them apart after HT?

just in awe that we failed to beat this leicester side
The worst of both that and the Wolves games were that both were professional performances - get a goal, soak up minimal pressure, get the second and shut up shop. We just forgot the last part on both occasions - so annoying and we'd all feel so much better with those extra 4 points.

Pretty amazing that three out of current top 6 PL teams are managed by Basque's managers (Arteta, Emery and Iraola).

And then there is Xabi Alonso at Leverkusen and several good ones like Valverde (Athletic Bilbao), Alguacil (Real Sociedad) and Arrasate (Mallorca, previously also Osasuna) in La Liga. Also shouldn't forget Mendilibar who has won two European titles in last two seasons, first UEL with Sevilla and then UECL with Olympiacos.

...and the Albion's u18 coach, the legend that is Íñigo Calderón...

Nope, you misunderstand. I just think we have had a bad run of luck/bounce of the ball recently which has quite a lot to do with our recent results. Luck and bounce of the ball has a big influence in close matches imo.
You deserved your 2-1 win against us. Two bits of proper quality for the goals and we huffed and puffed. Our injury time escape act just failed with the Semenyo shot against the bar.

Bear with the low number of users and posts, the nature of the forum.
Some of the replies could have been on here following the saints game:

Yep, complacency proved our undoing today. Thought we could just throw out any XI and walk away with all 3 points.

Any ambitions of a European place from sections of the faithful can now be put to rest.

Teams that make Europe would pick up 6 points from home games to Saints & Wolves and not throw away as many points from leading positions as we have.

Another 11th-13th place finish coming up for us

First of all we have a squad that needs handling carefully. Secondly we struggle against poor sides. Thirdly, that was all so predictable. No doubt we will have all the same arguments whenever we have a performance lacking in quality. But to be fair that was probably only one of two awful performances this season. It happens.
