Nope.

Love the Albion win, lose or draw. It’s been the one constant in my life.
Glass half empty ?

I'm very confident we won't be top 4 or bottom 4 (which would make it another of my best seasons watching the Albion)

There has been booing and discontent at games, comments on social media and chat sites such as this that would suggest that we are experiencing the trappings of being a top flight side for an extended period.

While many said ‘I’d just be happy not to be involved in the relegation battles’ the reality is, we always want a bit more.

We can be so frustrating, but its not so long ago that we achieved my lifetime BHA ambition of finishing above 13th - which meant I had officially witnessed the greatest team in our entire history. Then it all got a bit silly by pushing on to finish 6th, and the ensuing European Tour. Then we topped a group involving Marseille, AEK Athens and Ajax.

So the bar has now been set RIDICULOUSLY high, and the inevitable drop-off is always going to be met with disappointment and frustration. I'm not going to go all Hereford / Gillingham, but I DO have to check myself these days when we cack it up against the "lesser" opposition. I think TB's target was for us to become a regular top 10 club in the EPL, which fr a club of our size is no mean feat. We're well on track to become that, but don't let that 6th place warp our ambitions. Finishing short of that is absolutely NOT a failure.

Hugely appreciate what we have now. European football was literally a dream and that has been achieved. It still makes me smile thinking about those memorable and special occasions. After having a taste of that Tony Bloom naturally wants more. Happily for us, he's very ambitious so Europe is an aim this season, especially after the investment in the squad, so expectations among the fan base are bound to rise. How could they not? After beating City in such a stirring manner, it's only natural to feel a bit flat when we fail to win when comfortably the superior side against Wolves, Leicester and I'd include yesterday at West Ham. Nothing wrong with that and is another measure of how far we've come. Right now we are a team in transition. It'll take some time. But the bottom line is as long as Bloom is the chairman,
Albion will be more than fine. I think the best is yet to come.

I don’t get carried away with the big picture. Instead highs and lows based on results on the day.

Yesterday’s away draw, I didn’t feel ‘let down’. Failure to secure home wins against teams being put to the sword by others, are gutting at the time. Not entitlement, more disappointed that we couldn’t put the basics together over 90’ to get the win.

I think we’ll get 50 points and be nowhere near a European slot.

I can’t shake decades of anguish so glass always be half empty following us. We are ridiculously frustrating, and always have been. Sign up for the Albion and you leave entitlement at the door in my book.

No matter how much we spend I still spend most of the time hiding in my study or behind the sofa when we play away matches, or with my jacket over my head like I did last sunday...So entitled I don't think I'll ever be...

Its a long way down and I know how hard everyone has worked to get us here. Every time I walk to the stadium I'm still amazed its there.

And where we are at the moment, is simply stunning...Do I get frustrated with the inconsistent performances? Yes of course, as I'm sure the whole team are! Do we have a young squad and lots of injuries? Yes... are we going to get better and better in the coming years if we can hang this all together? Yes!!!

I have Withdean flashbacks whenever the keeper hoofs it! So I don't think I'll ever be entitled...

29 years ago today was one of my lowest points as an Albion fan. Lost 2-0 to Chesterfield in front of the lowest post-war goldstone attendance at the time. Very little atmosphere aside from the odd “sack the board chant”. I often remind myself of those nights in order to keep myself in check. It’s tricky - we all get frustrated when we feel like we’re underperforming, and constantly referring back to the dark days wears a little thin. But a big issue with NSC is a small number of posters trying to control the mood of the board with constant negativity. Some of the stuff posted at halftime was beyond frustration; it was outright entitlement at the fact we hadn’t gone away from home, played west ham off the park in the premier league, and gone in with a healthy lead. Unfortunately, NSC has become worse with the success of the Albion. I actually feel sorry for the “supporters” who sit at their keyboard waiting for a player to slip or a pass to go wayward so they can start telling everyone how dog **** we are. It’s the same few trying to dictate the narrative of our current situation and manager, and it’s very odd.

The way I see it, football is an emotional game. None of us are really capable of objective analysis during or soon after a game.

If in the cold light of day, posters are still putting on the kind of overreaction you would see on the match day thread, then yes, maybe they are entitled

There is a current bunch of very annoying posters thats for sure....But NSC has been around for a very long time, and it is greater than any one poster...

I'd love to see people letting those posts drop to the bottom of the board and off the board if not possible, but people can't help themselves, or are hoodwinked and drawn in by the "look at me, look at me" posters...some of whom these are...

Do what I do, walk away....it'll be here when you get back...

Admittedly, it really depends which table you look at, but if you look at the form table for the last 10 games, I'm not having this nonsense that we can't beat a team in the bottom six, because we have ;-)
