This, really enjoyed it. The negatively on here is quite something. Not a bad performance, and a decent result.
Wieffer had a very good game, but one performance won’t shut up the scapegoaters (although I see one of them has moved on to Gruda )
With the chances at the end we could’ve nicked it. Like I said a couple of times before the game, I don’t like Pedro as much playing as the lone striker and I thought he and Georginio had poor games.
Not surprised by some of the negativity on here, not because it’s deserved, but because sections of our fan base are becoming bizarrely, unduly expectant about success.
I think season of consolidation (in mid table and hopefully not worse) it’s r really that bad considering the personnel changes.Still think Europe is out of sight. There are much better sides than us around and above us.
mid table mediocrity seems attainable
not sure how that ties in with bloom and barber’s intentions of pushing on by spending £200m.
I hope Gomez is the player out of those purchases that is the one as IMHO the rest have not exactly set the world alight.
Georginio misses Welbz because they have built a great understanding. Not a bad performance, and a decent result.

Georginio misses Welbz because they have built a great understanding.
Pedro misses Welbz because it frees him to roam more.
Our midfield miss Welbz because he presses hard (when we don't have the ball) and quickly comes deeper for layoffs when we do have it.
Dunk misses Welbz because he's the captain at the top of the pitch.
I guess we miss Welbz a bit
Dropping points from leading positions has been happening a worrying number of times already this season. That’s my concern with Hurzeler and this team. I’m not sure why this is? Perhaps the weak mentality of the team? It needs to be sorted out urgently, we have dropped so many points.
Yeah. 100% this. I didn’t get what Pedro was up to.The Guardian was quite cutting: In the first half only West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen and Brighton’s João Pedro looked at all inclined to shock the game into life, with Bowen unique in also looking able. Both ran at defenders, forced them to commit, caused moments of panic and confusion, but João Pedro’s habit was to keep the ball until the confusion spread also to himself.
Yes, spot on. I'm uncertain who will fulfill that role after this season, or we set up differently. We should not be over reliant on one player in the twilight of his career
True, it was both exciting but ultimately frustrating to me. I don’t get why anyone would think it was a shit gameThis, really enjoyed it. The negatively on here is quite something.
No shit SherlockAspinall reckons because the team are simply unable to control games once we go ahead.
You’re always reliant on players in form. Welbeck’s had the form of his career and with new players and young manager, yes of course we’re missing him.We should not be over reliant on one player in the twilight of his career
Isn’t part of the issue that we’ve not built a squad where we have a direct replacement for him, in terms of profile, and we also haven’t adapted tactically to not having him up front.Georginio misses Welbz because they have built a great understanding.

He was with Ian I think.Only one of them was, and he wasn't even on the pitch
Well, I think we went into the season with two 'number 9s', and we only play with one at a time. We've then got a few others that play off the number 9 and at a stretch can fill in up-front. Unfortunately one of those two 9s has fallen off a cliff in terms of form. The other one has been in top form but is now injured. We should not be over reliant on one player in the twilight of his career
I think that's right. I imagine the club hoped that Evan could develop to fill the role to some extent, but that seems to have stalled after his injury.Isn’t part of the issue that we’ve not built a squad where we have a direct replacement for him, in terms of profile, and we also haven’t adapted tactically to not having him up front.
