Fury is an arrogant bully, he's made it to the top by being bigger, having better reach and having a bone head. He has been outclassed twice now by Usyk and hopefully he will stop gobbling off and disappear now.
Yep. You could make a case for the scorecards being closer, but not Fury winning. Serves him right for easing off at the end of rounds and not throwing caution to the wind at any stage.

That’s how I saw it, Fury dominated say 45 secs to a minute within a round, but Usyk always ensured he landed punches either side of those spells. He needed to have rocked Usyk on his heels but he didn’t. I don’t think anyone on the night had Fury winning that apart from Frank Warren.

Yeah, that was clearly staged. He wouldn't have got anywhere near Usyk otherwise. Disrespectful? I'm not sure, but pure pantomime though - and more like the beginning of the PR campaign for the next fight between the two of them.
Funny how people complain about pre-fight bullshit and also complain about a fighter who prefers doing his talking in the ring.

Theres almost like a childlike innocence to him, despite being the World Heavyweight Champion, there’s a lovely story about the formative part of his career, whilst learning to drive he was having to travel to train by a combination of bus and tube journeys.
At the end of every press conference the subject of his driving lessons would come up, how were they going?, he failed his theory test initially but then passed second time.
A couple more fights passed, and finally he announced at the end of a presser, that he’d finally passed his driving test, and bought his first car.
”What car have you bought?” asked a member of the Press Pack.
“A Bentley” he replied

I was watching on DAZN and it was much the same.
"WHAT A SHOT FROM FURY, GREAT WORK" whilst the shots in question bounced off the gloves.
You knew it wasn't close because by round 10/11 they were talking about how Usyk was ahead.
I'm not into boxing as much as some on here, and I didn't score the bout round-by-round, but I was certainly convinced that Usyk was the relatively comfortable winner come the end of the 12th.

That homophobic tirade against Usyk two days ago was especially grim.
I also question his discipline and focus. Not for the first time in his career he’s an out-of-shape tub of lard.
It’s clear he’s not all that, the boxer everyone will talk about from this era is Usyk; one more fight against AJ and then he’ll be gone. He surely won’t dodge AJ now?

Managed to avoid seeing the result and watched it back this morning “as live”. I scored it Usyk by two rounds, but really hand on heart didn’t know which way it would go. It really hinges on what the judges like when scoring, and it’s a crapshoot by its very nature.
It was a good fight, but I’ve seen enough now, we don’t need a trilogy - Usyk has proven the better boxer.
Time to make some new stars.
As mentioned earlier in the thread, Itauma vs Wardley would be a cracker.

Don’t understand your thinking at all here mate. It’s clearly labelled as a boxing thread, specific to this fight. I don’t go into the racing threads and randomly state to a bunch of racing fans that I don’t like horse racing for ethical or other reasons.
Not every thread has to be for every poster, and I’m not suggesting to limit your free speech, but you have to expect push back when you make statements like the one you just did with limited to no knowledge, experience or understanding of the subject matter.
Perhaps better to scroll past, or if it upsets you to pop the thread on ignore. We don’t all share the same things in common and that’s absolutely fine.

This backs up the point I made above though, in that it comes down to what the judges like when scoring a fight.
Lots of judges would see those statistics and still score it to Fury, because he threw more punches, jabs and power punches - ie he had better work rate. Counter punchers historically don’t score as well with judges.
What the stats also don’t show is ring control, which some judges value very highly. If one boxer is taking centre ring and walking down their opponent, this can work in their favour with scoring.
I gave it to Usyk but it was a very close fight.
Purely going from the comments on TNT last night, they said he didn't actually say it was the wrong result, just the wrong score

They didn't have the same 4 rounds. I think there were only 7 rounds where all 3 judges cards matched. One judge gave Fury round 1 and Usyk round 2, the other 2 judges had the opposite.Me too. Very close in my opinion but a draw or a narrow Usyk win for me. I’m surprised all three judges had it by 4 rounds. Were they copying each other?
It was a close fight but Fury didn't really do much apart from wave his hand in Usyk's face a lot of the time. Usyk landed more punches and showed more aggressive intent in my eyes.
I guess this is why them have three different judges?
