Thats good to know. I would feel much more confident leaving my bike there if I could get a U lock on both the frame and wheel.
But I would only use at the last resort.

Until the Amex trips, I’ve never left my £2k bike anywhere. Determined that thieving vermin won’t ever get it! For the Amex I bought platinum-rated:
https://soldsecure.com/product/litelok-x1-bike-d-lock x2, but really only 1 needed, and https://www.amazon.co.uk/Sterling-1...hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583932700289718&psc=1

You’re then in the realm of a thieve working in vain on a bike with an angle grinder etc, in sight of police, rail stewards and cctv cameras everywhere. I was concerned before I first cycled, now relaxed about it. Others park up expensive e-bikes.

I'm 50 miles away and am jealous of anyone that can train or bus it.

If I could train it, I would defo hang about post final whistle and drink whilst the Qs evaporate.

Losing at home to that lot is the pits. Its a good job there is plenty of time until the renewal decision. I wish we were in different divisions.

Having to pay for the final part of my journey would not be a game changer.

I have the same lock as you. Litelok X1, it's a superb lock! I believe it would need 2 or 3 disc's on an angle grinder to cut through it.
Like you say the Amex is probably the safest place to lock a bike up in Brighton when there's a match on.

Overkill. I bought two, one locks front wheel to frame, with the cable looping through the lot. But not a heavy backpack.

Would your route entail steep hills? Coldean Lane top half is a challenge and where I live one way or another there’s a steep ascent.

My route is pretty flat. Along the seafront then up Lewes rd all the way to the ground.
Not sure i would have it in my legs to get up Coldean Lane 😅
