A source told the news outlet: “He offered to [pay], but the production and Paramount have sorted the payment.”

So, it's like when I see my wife stressed trying to get stuff ready in the morning and I offer to do my daughter's hair for school, knowing full well that she will say "that's very kind but it's ok".

Sorry old boy think you're 100% wrong, he's always struck me as being a proper stand up bloke, he's clearly 'in funds', so this sort of gesture doesn't sound out of the ordinary.

Just far enough away from LDC
I can also vouch for his good lady who is lovely and a very down to earth person. Was very self deprecating when trapped on an overcrowded train with Mrs rosm and they had a lovely conversation about kids and balancing work and family etc before my wife worked out who she was

Yep, he's somebody who one could get a particular opinion on based on interviews/media persona but is actually really nice in real life by all accounts. Also see Gervais R and Ramsey G.

One of his early films, Stuart is well worth watching.
First read the book, after randomly picking it up in a charity shop… based off a true story.

You are normally such a nice guy. I can only assume your advent calendar this morning contained a humbug. Or you've just been told that thrushes like you are permanently on the naughty list.

Anyway, peace and goodwill to you. And the ability to read and comprehend before uttering codswallop is in your stocking
Many apols ROSM, another ill fated attempt at 'humour.' As you were.
