I have a handle that's starting to feel a bit loose on an outside PVC door. Does anyone know of a locksmith/PVC door person who could come and take a look ?

Yes I've tried locking it/unlocking it and opening/closing it. Besides, I'm sure it's only a 5 Minute job

Thanking you in anticipation

Get this dealt with quickly, the thought of you locked out in your suburban garden whilst your Lamb Chops (that need attention), the thought of them burning fills me with with terror, and trust me going by recent news people in your neck of the woods don’t have much luck with fires (pointless emoji)

One of the best investments I've ever made was a course on lock picking.

It's opened so many doors for me.

Buy a new handle. It's only two screws to change it, though if you're in Brighton I can charge you to do it

5 minute job, buy a handle off Screwfix and replace it yourself. It just needs two screws to be taken out and replaced.

It will be a bit more complicated if the thread is worn on the internal locking mechanism, but even then should be a half an hour job, just make sure you measure it correctly and order the right locking mechanism off Screwfix.

I see the training for you to become one of the great wits of NSC is going well. You're probably halfway there

The pair of you have convinced me. Being a cheapskate, I've looked and it is indeed two screws. I'm going to measure it all up and go for it on Friday, while Mrs Wz is around to protect the property :catfight:

If it all goes Pete Tong, you may well be hearing from me ???

Had this on our French doors and purchased a set of door cassettes (me neither!) and managed to replace myself and firm up the locking mechanism and handle.

God, I’m such a bloke

Blokes are usually better at firming up.
