Really good read. Interesting contrast between De Zerbi and Hürzeler's style and his role.

“It’s been . . . some journey. Some journey.
“There’s been times where, pfff, I don’t know, I’ve spoken to specialists, like maybe after injury or having to go to surgery and they’ve said things like, ‘It’s going to be really difficult,’ or, ‘You might not get back to the level.’ That sort of stuff.
“It’s not easy but that’s when you knuckle down and go again. You have really bad days but you have to remain positive. I don’t think sitting around moping is going to help you.”

Yes, yes, I know so I'll also mention this useful site:

Pathetic attempts at humour aside I found that to be a decent read. Did not realise he only needs one more goal for us to make his highest goal tally for any individual club. Thanks for sharing Bozza.

Have just heard from a well-connected source who has given me previous correct ITK’s that Welbeck is wanted by Manchester United in January and reckons he’s off. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Oh well, much more game time for Ferguson then

Although I reckon Welbeck would almost have to go on strike before we sanction this mental, from our perspective, move.

If true, it does leave us very light again up top with only Pedro and Ferguson available, and I much prefer Pedro at number ten. But obviously if they have/do come in, he’s gone. We might have to look within, Duffus maybe?

I disagree, he’s under contract and we do not have to agree just because his home town club want him back. This is not a Dan Burn situation imo

I think I’d prefer me over Ferguson on recent showings :lolol:

I was only thinking today just how lightweight we really are up top when you think that Danny Welbeck is out top scorer… a great player who has never ever been a prolific score throughout his long career. Can’t believe he is improving at this age in all seriousness? He is simply what he is and nobody else in our team can keep up with him goals wise this season

Can’t imagine for one second that his time out for injuries will be any different this year or next year than it has been in recent years so …. If this is true it’s a classic Man Utd decision. Poor.

This rumour was about when Ten Bags was in charge, probably started from a thread on their message board when they we’re absolutely dire.

Is this why he’s not even on the bench? Done deal?
On Sunday I was surprised he wasn't in the starting line up nor the bench, yet I'd not seen any mention of him being injured. I suspect it may well be a case of done deal.
