Just checked my supply of ' thoughts and prayers ' for US gun massacres and it's tragically empty.Thoughts and prayers will work this time, I'm sure of it.

If I use a flip phone (mobile) is that flippant? What would happen if a local found him and shot him dead ?
And don’t be flippant ….

Absurd. They were killed in the London Bridge terror attack, seconds apart. So why did their families get wildly different payouts?
Following the killings in 2017, relatives of victims were entitled to compensation. But just how much, it turned out, would vary by as much as hundreds of thousands of pounds. Why is one life worth more than another?www.theguardian.com
Interesting article about compensation levels in terrorist attacks but contained this which I was unaware of, and shows how chuffed the situation is
"Gun-makers are legally protected from being sued in the US if their guns are used in a mass shooting, but nightclub and hotel owners are not."
I am not so sure, he did ask for a black Kevlar hoodie, gloves, matching combat pants, boots and a hunting knife.Odd, because as the father of a 14 year old myself, I really don’t remember that being on his list last year. It was mostly clothes. I must be doing something wrong.
....and the father has now been charged on multiple counts. Good.Development in the most recent case is that the 14 year old shooter was given an assault rifle for Christmas by his parents.

I don't find it odd really, it's just saying the same as we say on here, that gun crime in the US isn't treated seriously.A rather strange cartoon in today’s guardian.
In response to today’s school shooting in the U.S.
I don’t find it offensive. Just a rather odd thing to make into quite a frivolous cartoon.
Or am I missing something?

I think your right which is tragic. What you can't quite see in that cartoon is the sign just outside that says ' No Running in the Corridors 'I don't find it odd really, it's just saying the same as we say on here, that gun crime in the US isn't treated seriously.
If I was going to apply some pretentious reasoning to it I'd suggest it's making a statement about how gun crime is as culturally significant to American society as The Simpsons.A rather strange cartoon in today’s guardian.
