The fact that I didn't go felt like quite a positive.

My son, who now lives in Melbourne, was going to wake up at 6am (before getting ready for work), and watch the game on a (delayed) stream. I was under strict instructions to not send him any hints ..."unless it's just an awful thumping".

I was able to text him to say "Dont bother watching it! ...it's every bit as bad as your worst nightmare"....

He thanked me for saving him from it, and had an extra couple of hours in bed.

None.
An utterly abject performance. They should hang their heads in shame, particularly the manager, who presided over this shambles. He talked about game management after Leicester. He should try management.

Our Hove girls won a needle match against Worthing in the morning and all coaches got a free Christmas pint - which made me slightly late for the game (wish I'd stayed for another pint though)

Because I was on the train yesterday, I chose a book to read which would fit in my pocket easily - a slim tome.
it was “the Virgin and the Gipsy” by D H Lawrence, and it was very good. Never read anything of his before.
and no, there weren’t any naughty bits in it.
i don’t know how old the paperback was, but it cost.…… 20p new!

After a tip from my brother, on leaving the WSU I went up the ramp behind the away team coach to get round to the coach park, thus avoiding the one way system.

Oh, and I’m wfh today and tomorrow so I don’t have to face the one palace fan in the office.

Taking the kids in their pyjamas in the car to see some Christmas lights in the early evening. They loved it, all cosy in the back seat under a blanket with hot chocolate in their beakers, Christmas music on the car stereo.

Marvellous.

NSC probably got better-than-expected traffic due to the various meltdowns being committed to the interweb from people all across Sussex and beyond. And the subsequent 'perspective' posts from those on the other side.

So, all in all, @Bozza is going to have a VERY Merry Christmas  🎅 💰

I was asked if I would close NSC down for the rest of 2024.

How would we all celebrate the unexpected Christmas present of a win on Saturday* if I did that?

(* - followed by the inevitable loss to "no wins away from home in eight" Brentford on the 27th?)
