[Albion] Is there a worse result than being stuffed by Palace at home?

Is there a worse result you can envisage this season than being outclassed at home by Palace?

I know some of you are a bit Meh about Palace but for me there is no other result that will make me feel worse this season, unless it’s a relegation decider.. Even losing at home 3-0 to Stevenage in the FA Cup or the like

You?

Yes.

Us stuffing them, not being able to score any of a hatful of chances and losing to a sucker punch with the last kick of the ball.

I don’t know if it’s being in the Premier league for so long, playing them so much recently or just gradually losing a bit of interest as I get older but yesterday didn’t hurt very much. The victories against them recently haven’t meant as much either for the same reason. Football is a good escapism but there are far more important things in life.

The shite line up and formation gave a good indication of what was to come, so it was almost comical seeing the inevitable. Luckily from home.

Failing to beat basement club Stains and being given a second half football lesson was the worst in recent memory for me. Only an Albion team/manager could contrive that way not to ascend the table.

The really sad thing is that anybody who saw our 3 previous games knew it was going to happen. It wasn't a surprise we lost. The weak willed insipid manner was.

I would say the southampton home draw was a worse result though if not a worse performance

Not worse but, to me, every defeat is bad in equal measure. But once it's done, it's done and it's on the next one.

The comments after Citeh and Liverpool that we now had a run of easier games and should reap some serious points.

Well, 2 points from the last 4 games (pos 12) just shows we are way short of the finished article.

I think the cliche of not getting carried away when we win or too down when we lose is useful.

It make it worse that it's against Palace but we still need to put it behind us and wait for an upturn in our fortunes. We didn't turn into a shit teamocer night and we'll bounce back.

Saved by the disallowed goal.

One wonders the joys that would have availed us had that counted. Would it have changed the last 3 games? If so, for good or bad?

Fwiw I think we would have tightened up against Fulham and leicester..drawn both in an less panicky style and then yesterday who knows?

Yup. That 2-1 hurt WAY more than this imo.
