Some interesting comparisons, comparing our results in 2024 under RDZ and under FH.

RDZ 2024 P 19 W 4 D 6 L 9 F 17 A 29 D -12 P 18
FH 2024 P 16 W 6 D 6 L 4 F 26 A 25 D +1 P 24
All 2024 P 35 W 10 D 12 L 13 F 43 A 54 D -11 P 42

In the first 19 games of the 23/24 Season, RDZ averaged 1.58pts but that dropped to 0.94pts for the 19 games of 2024, meaning a season average of 1.26pts.
So far this season under FH, he is averaging 1.5pts per game.

The key here, is are we going to drop off to 2024 RDZ levels in 2025 or can FH keep us consistent? Just looking at the stats, they confirm FH has improved us in 2024....

Currently we're dropping off the edge of a cliff

I think the better question is whether RDZ would’ve done a better job with this squad than FH currently is.

If you compare results against like for like opposition, we are still 10 points better off than last season.

We are 9 points down on the season we qualified for Europe.

Depends how you want to judge improvement.
RDZ took us forward once his ideas were engrained on the team. My criticism of his would always be there was not any other idea. Injuries didn’t help him.
My criticism of FH is as of yet I don’t know if he knows the style he wants us to play. The system we play isn’t what he used elsewhere. I still think he is looking for his best team. Injuries at the moment I think isn’t helping us get that on the pitch.

In his first season definitely. Last season's RDZ, not necessarily even though he is clearly (at this point) a better - if inflexible - manager. He'd have been bitching because we didn't sign some defender or midfielder that he wanted, would never have trusted Ayari, maybe still wouldn't trust Baleba and would have moaned about the likes of MInteh and Gruda being far too raw to play.

I think Hughton would have done better.

The RDZ that arrived full of vim, vigour and fizzing with ideas? Almost certainly.

The RDZ he turned into, gurning and squirming and pulling his hoodie over his head like a 13-year old? Probably not.
