Say something nice about Palace? You cannot accuse their fans of being glory hunters!
And they are probably a fairly local fan group. If someone has the misfortune of being born in Croydon and they support Palace that is much better than being born in Croydon and supporting Man Utd.

I'm not suggesting that the only good Palace fan... but I loved Sean Hughes. Still remember and giggle at his routine about watching The Sweeney with his brother. Now I think about it, I've also seen Kevin Day, Jo Brand and Suzy/Eddie Izzard live and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. I've also read a couple of Mark Steele's books and liked his radio shows, although surprisingly have never seen him live.
I had a drink with Sean Hughes when our paths crossed on the performing arts circuit, really liked him and was gutted when he died.

Some of the comments on this thread, read like “I’m not racist - I’ve got a mate who’s a Palace supporter”

Late 80s we took a coach load of Junior Seagulls to Palace to play their fans in the morning pre match. Had a great time, they were very hospitable and were introduced to Ian Wright before the main match. He was great with all of them.
Years before that the Albion supporters were entertained by a clown pre match - turned out it was their goalkeeper Burridge.
Apart from that, meh.

I can count on one hand the amount of Palace fans I know. So whilst the sample size is statistically irrelevant, they are all good people.

Palace fans are better than Chelsea fans in my experience.

Palace is a much nicer football club than Chelsea in my opinion.

They are good at finding the odd ‘star player’. Players they rely on to either get to or maintain their Premier League status. Players such as Zaha, Olise and Eze.
