You know what, I would love us to be linked with some hot shit centre back and an even better right back.
Do we need anymore midfielders and wingers, even if they are ones for the future? Our squad is ridiculously imbalanced, demonstrated by the fact we have no defenders on the bench most weeks and that our ability to defend a lead is non existent.
Personally think there's an argument to cash in on João Pedro this summer and spend as much money as we can to buy the best centre back that wants to join us.

Has a 20m euro exit clause that comes into effect in 2026. I presume we'd have to pay a chunk more than that to get him in either of the 2025 transfer windows.

Language is a funny thing isn't it? I would say the last thing we need is a 'hot shit centre back'. A shit hot centre back yes, agreed we have a need for that. Some male model who we sign just for his looks ..... not so much

This allday, we need the Dunk successor and probably a JVPH one as well with a versatile L/ RWB. We have enough midfielders for two teams
I agree about the balance of the squad. A side-effect of our model as attacking players often increase in value by so much more, and more rapidly, than defenders.
