Really enjoyed that.

The Resident was excellent too.

Currently watching Killing Eve having not been tempted when it was first streamed.
Jodie Comer absolutely kills it, to pardon the pun - Sandra Oh I loved from Grey’s Anatomy and is brilliant as Eve.
You will be watching Slow Horses next calm down🤣

It’s a popular TV show like Killng Eve ……. You are a little late to the party with Killing Eve….never mind.
It was you telling me to “calm down” that was bizarre not your criticism of me selecting Killing Eve as my one and only contribution to the thread.

I wasn’t aware that expressing our choices of what is good to watch was time sensitive or a competition as that was my first post on this thread - which you made a really pleasant experience so thanks for that 👍

It’s site humour don’t worry about it. It wasn’t offensive or meant to be.
If John puts three screws in a wall I might say calm down John you will be building a house next. OrJohn’s on the hurry up today he’s already managed three screw by breakfast.
I hope that explains it.

Yeah.

I am enjoying Killing Eve though 😃

Edit - At the risk of more thread fixtures, I’ll add The Diplomat to the list - really looking forward to season 3 on that one.

Agreed, if you put aside the fact that it's completely ridiculous nonsense, it is most enjoyable indeed.
I liked the fact that the only reason the wife of a diplomat was never caught as the spy she was, was because everyone around her was a spy except her husband.

Personally I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I don’t think it’s as good as The Day of the Jackal which is out on Sky and a similar genre.

Really enjoying Black Doves (up to episode 3 so far), yeah it's a bit OTT with some fairly gaping plot holes but it's also quite tongue which I like. 3 solid leads and very bingeworthy.

A man on the inside.

It's a light hearted comedy rather than laugh out loud one starring Ted Danson as a retired lecturer who goes undercover in a retirement home to look for a thief. Danson is fantastic in it and it's surprisingly emotional as it tackles loneliness and dementia too.

8 30 minute episodes so won't take up too much of your time.

'No Good Deed' is well worth a watch. Shamelessly lightweight, a delicious mixture of comedy, tragedy and crime caper. Just 8 short episodes, easy and enjoyable binge fodder on a rainy holiday afternoon.

La Palma. Only watched the first ten minutes of S1E1 and already hooked. Here in the UK we take the Canary Islands pretty much for granted. A sort of extension of Blackpool. Refreshing to see a, er, fresh new Scandinavian slant on what is essentially a very alien elemental environment

Actually, scrub that. S1E2 plumbs the depths of dumbness. it's like watching Lost

Agree with others Black Doves and A Man on the Inside are good. Just finished Churchill at War. Interesting on how he wrote about the potential nuclear bomb in 1924 and warned about Soviet expansion after the WW2.

Just discovered that one of my favourite novels has been made into a series for Netflix.

Film adaptations of books I love often don't have any appeal to me, Burroughs' "Naked Lunch" being one example, but the Netflix adaptation of Garcia Marquez's "100 Years of Solitude" appears to have good reviews and has been well received in Colombia where the novel is revered, so we shall see....

The first eight episodes are available with another eight to follow...
