[Brighton] Where's good to a get a quick and trustworthy MOT?

Just realised my MOT expired 2 weeks ago and need to get a quick one done somewhere ASAP. My usual garage is booked up until January and don't want to book in some dodgy one where they come up with a million faults and expensive repairs.

Car is a 2016 Skoda if that makes any difference.

Sorry if there's already a thread on this, couldn't search the phrase MOT as it's too short.

Thanks NSC!

I had a similar issue a few weeks back but managed to sort it just before it expired. Most other places were booked out.

This guy sorted me out and was very good.

Very small set-up but worth giving him a ring.

Good Albion themed name too!

I always use Setyres. Always seem to pass with no issues, so fairly sure they don’t make up problems that don’t exist.
You can book on line, too.

Nothing to do with the fact it's top of Milner Road, then? Garage has been there for years...used to buy part worns there when I was first married(early to mid eighties) and didn't have a recepticle to urinate in

MrMOT in Eastern Road. As the name suggests he only does MOT's so has no interest in failing it. Can book online.

The days of part worns, remoulds, no Seatbelts, airbags or ABS. It needed a fair bit of luck to get anywhere without incident :lolol:

Keep away from ANPR cameras until you are driving to a booked MOT appointment
The insurance will be invalidated for any other journey apart from a pre booked MOT. I wouldn’t risk it although one year I was so busy it slipped my mind and was driving daily for 8 months without one.

Depending where you are speak to Connor at Motest on the belltower estate. There’s also Woodbourne garage in hollingbury, KIS next to Asda, 1st class in kemp town, Palmeira Servicng in Hove or Montgomery motors in Shoreham and southwick

Thank you everyone, got it soretes

I bought a car a couple of years ago and forgot when the MOT was due (my garage normally remind me but hadn't seen the car so didn't know). I think I spent the best part of 2 months with no MOT until I realised and panicked, getting it within a couple of days.

I was tempted to write to someone and tell them how f***ing useless they were with all this ANPR nonsense :lolol::lolol:
