Ah, yeah but…..

how else do you stop an up and coming club with an eye for spotting young talent that seems like it could challenge the establishment.

oh hang on, At source

meanwhile any movement on the Man City ”alleged“ charges….
Being prone to paranoia that was my first thought , so glad I`m not the only one thinking that (y)

Whilst the signing of 9-18 is permitted for now, it would be a tough sentence for the club - that is our demographic.
Suspect the £20,000 fine is peanuts compared to the legal bill!
Not great.

...getting caught, that is. Tapping up players is standard whatever the regulations says.

Bit sensitive at youth level but generally speaking clubs are reluctant to put a £50m bid or something on a player who they have never talked to.
......and I suppose Shim Mheuka just upped one day and thought, I'll go and see if Chelsea are interested in me? And the lad (Toby Collier?) who went to Man. Utd? Maybe getting caught really is the key issue?
