Watched his YouTube video on why he is not happy with Kujobeats who has forced him to take down the song Sick Boi from all streaming services due to some IP on a beat he had paid for

I stumbled across this guy yesterday on YouTube and watched Hi Ren.

I've spent most of today watching various other videos and songs of his but mainly reaction videos of Hi Ren.

A true enigma to me and I don't like rap in general.

This lad is a generational talent and I'm hooked.

Great to see this thread - I somehow missed it first time round.

Like many, I remember his performances on the streets of Brighton which were always superb.

I got into his album when it was in the news, challenging Rick Astley for the number 1 spot. It is superb.

But I have listened to Ren far more on YouTube than on record or Spotify - his videos are works of art. I ALWAYS cry (I am a bit of a weeper, to be fair).

And he’s a genuinely lovely bloke.

What an amazing talent this guy is!
Brilliant live and also so inventive with the videos.

Genius.

The first time I saw Hi Ren on YouTube I just sat there dumbfounded afterwards.

I can't think of a more incredible artistic achievement. There's certainly nothing that has had such a strong effect on me
