After a long overnight drive to Brighton from Wales on Sunday I estimate I'll be arriving in town by 8am with two thirds of the Welsh massive in tow,so apart from Spoons,and a stroll along the prom what else could be open for us simple folk from the Valleys on Sunday,not that poxy K&Q though.

Palace like to get into The Brighton Helm on opening (8am) to claim theyā€™ve ā€œtaken itā€ when it fact itā€™s allocated.

Thereā€™s a boots just up the road that opens at 10 to get the Croydon musk off if you do go there

You could park up at Withdean and show the Welsh massive where we used to play, maybe have a walk around the nature reserve to stretch your legs. There's various ways to access the pitch itself for a photo opportunity in the original dugouts. You could further recreate the authentic Withdean experience by tipping buckets of cold water over your heads. Oh, and the Sportsman does a really good breakfast buffet from 9am for about a tenner. If you do that, don't fanny around with the parking apps in the car park, you can register your car on the screen just inside the door of the pub
