Hinsh is a b2b midfielder
Hinsh is probably the most similar player in the squad. Playing more with the brain than the body and sometimes hard to notice even if he's important in keeping things ticking.
Glad to see him doing well. He looked very promising pre-season. I thought he was more in the Biss/caicedo/Baleba mould than a winger or playing behind the striker though.
He didn't play as a 10 yesterday and usually don't. Most often he has been playing as some sort of RWB/RM with freedom to roam inwards, but he is frequently moved around during games.

When I read some old interview with him from his academy days in Africa, he described himself as a defensive midfielder who can also play winger. Unusual combination, but works for him.

On his FBref page, his stats are only based on Champions League and so are quite limited, he is compared to "other attacking midfielders/wingers" and tells the story of a primarly defensive player.

Of course these stats are somewhat affected by Sturm Graz being one of the weaker teams in the CL but its still very impressive stats given its almost/sometimes decent Premier League-level opposition. But as we can see it is also maybe somewhat unlikely he'll ever play as a 10 for us.

"His goal of taking a place in Barcelona or Liverpool."

Good. He'll be properly motivated to do a job for us then. That's why we buy players that age.

It would be quite remarkable if having bought him and immediately loaned him he'd worked out he wanted to spend the next 10 to 15 years of his career on the south coast of England

Oh, going to look at the whole thing tomorrow. Might be interesting.

Indeed. Very much doubt we have a single foreign player who has always dreamed of playing almost their entire career for Brighton. Quite possibly even March and Dunk had big club dreams back in the days.
