It's obvious that we'd be the team that has gained the most league positions in those 28 years,(85 places) but who are the next best ?

Fulham, top of the division 28 years ago and now moved up 3 divisions also in those 28 years. First & last made the biggest moves from that 4th level.

I remember the graffiti at the Goldstone: 'Gritt believes Bellotti Bullsh*t'
Somehow that graffiti (and particularly it’s mis spellings) summed up our predicament

I imagine they, along with the other clubs near the bottom with 20+ points were fairly relaxed regarding relegation 28 years ago today.
Even when I rung up and bought my ticket for the final game of the season they were still relaxed - it was about four-five weeks to go I think.

I phoned, asked for a ticket, they said 'away end I assume'. I asked them why they assumed that and they said there hadn't been a lot of demand for the home tickets yet. I said something along the lines of it surprising me, because it could end up being their final game in the league - and they just laughed.....

Oh how the laughed, all the way to oblivion, nasty folk around town that day, they got what they deserved.

So this 'new Broom' of the PL (As referenced by Danny Kelly on Talksport on Monday) - yourselves, Fulham, Brentford and my lot, AFCB all well run, coached and in the top half of the PL.

28 years ago in Div1 &2. Amazing.

Blimey - that's an incredible coincidence! What are the chances...?

One in seven but I'm sure there is a more precise mathematical formula.

Yeah, what good has that done them eh...
They have been into administration twice in those 28 years, we have played in four different stadiums, have a state of the art training centre and they have not even got a new stand.
Exactly. They’ve totally squandered their advantage.

Happy Wednesdays!
I went to look at a boardwalk last Wednesday that I had initially first built in 1991 - on exactly the same day/date (Wednesday 4 December) - that's the next one in the same sequence back from 1996. I was noting it especially as it's the job I was doing where I met the future Mrs Bodian.

I also met a lad on that job who would ask you your date of birth, and then immediately tell you what day of the week it was. Almost always correctly. He couldn't bang a nail in straight or cook a meal, but he could tell you what day you were born on! (He was great at lighting bonfires as well - but that's another story). He'd be classed as being on the spectrum today.

Actress Marilu Henner is the same way. She is from Chicago and was on the TV show Taxi with Tony Danza, Danny DeVito, Judd Hirsch and Andy Kaufman.
