Great picture. Out of interest do we know how many of these guys were fortunate enough to survive WW1?

I wonder how many of those perished over the next five years.
Is that legit or did you colour it in!
Brighton and Hove Albion Players who served in the First World WarI wonder how many of those perished over the next five years.
Grandfather? My dad played for Brighton? I never knew! 27 years before he was born too.
(Literally the same initial and surname)
I used the colourising tool on MyHeritage site. It's only going to be as good as the software but it seems to have made a half decent effort with the grass and skin tone.Is that legit or did you colour it in!
Although presumably that does sort of hinge on the grass being green rather than a dried out yellowy colour, or a muddy brown?I used the colourising tool on MyHeritage site. It's only going to be as good as the software but it seems to have made a half decent effort with the grass and skin tone.
No. There's no family link to Brighton on my dad's side until he moved to Sussex in the 1970s. He grew up in North Wales and his father was from a long line of coal miners in Yorkshire.Grandfather?
Such a senseless waste of life.

In that era would they have a mottled colour? I would have thought a block colour or sack the washing lady must have left some pants in with the wash. Reminds me of my 1970's tie dye T shirt efforts.I used the colourising tool on MyHeritage site. Still a better effort than Nike...
