I will go out on a limb here and say I rate Michael Oliver. He is likely the best English ref at the moment

And as we aren't playing Newcastle then Hoops can't be bamboozled by Smug Eddie's steely blue eyes

Have we had a penalty yet this season? I can't remember one. That seems crazy given all our wingers and Pedro.

I'm guessing that is because he tends to ref a lot of the top 4's matches, so we're likely to be playing City, Liverpool, etc. when he's reffed here.

He has a decent reputation.
But I'm not convinced in our games.
Refused to give us two penalties against Brentford, VAR overrode him on the first and should have done so on the second.

Good ol Micheal Oliver. Probably the best of them all but also prone to give baffling decisions. Wasn't he responsible for a huge decision a few weeks ago for which every pundit disagreed with (on Var)? Can't remember which game though although maybe the game which cost Ten Hag his job, United at West Ham?

I hope these words don’t come back to haunt me but I think it’s easily the best ref in the country and I think we’re in safe hands
