I'm very much hoping that the absence of both Freddie Simmonds and Harry Howell from the U-21's squad this afternoon means that they will be in the starting XI for the U-18s in their tough FA Youth Cup 3rd round tie at Newcastle United on Monday.
And talking of today's 0-0 draw with Burnley (which means we will probably need to win at Luton Town in our final group match next year to stand a chance of progressing), Joe Knight picked up ANOTHER booking - his 8th of the season (and I think he will now have to serve a suspension). He has also received a straight red card this season. He has a bit of a disciplinary issue.

Reminder it's the SSC game against Burgess Hill tonight and therefore, also @jackalbion 's birthday. My lad will be at the game, I will be at a gig / 50th birthday in town. Seeing as three of my away days this season have ended in defeat we might do ok in my absence.

U21s doing very well considering the amount we have out on loan
Always the way! Our top U21 first team players can usually be found - playing in the Championship or the rest of the EFL, or even in La Liga or the Eredivise!

I would hope Howell is considered for the matchday squad for Norwich FA Cup game next month. Can’t really see him going on loan in January, considering his age and playing up nearly three age groups above.
