Where were many of them? The point is they walked through Weiffer’s zone without a sniff of a tackle. That’s happened a lot lately…Erm where was JPvH completely asleep

Not only Wieffer though is it, where was O’Riley?Where were many of them? The point is they walked through Weiffer’s zone without a sniff of a tackle. That’s happened a lot lately…
I like Ayari but twice today he put us on back foot, a hospital pass in second half and they broke down right, and caught on ball a second time resulting in them attacking. Not only Wieffer though is it, where was O’Riley?
And it really didn’t happen a lot, well certainly not when Ayari was on, him and Wieffer were working well.
But he kept the shape throughout.I like Ayari but twice today he put us on back foot, a hospital pass in second half and they broke down right, and caught on ball a second time resulting in them attacking.
He was pretty decent but not error free.
The hospital pass in second half, he was just inside our half and tried to pass ball towards Mitoma near dugouts and scuffed/underhit pass, they picked it up and broke down right. Though structure is better with him on.But he kept the shape throughout.
Interesting you’ve identified two possible errors. I don’t remember either of those incidentally, not saying they didn’t happen, just didn’t stick in my mind, whereas our complete loss of shape did when he went off.
All O’Riley did was weaken us, as he wanders around and has zero discipline.
That was the other side the pass to Mitoma, probably didn’t see it clearlyThe hospital pass in second half, he was just inside our half and tried to pass ball towards Mitoma near dugouts and scuffed/underhit pass, they picked it up and broke down right. Though structure is better with him on.
Agree about MOR too, just a sockboy swanning around today, but that still didn't lose us the 2 points.
That was Igor thinking he's Rivaldo and overplaying in a ridiculously dangerous area.
All he had to effing do, was hoof it into corner, instead he went high risk/no reward.
Very Poor decision making and game management.
I hear you mate.. its not drawing or losing 2 points that's so bloody annoying. That was the other side the pass to Mitoma, probably didn’t see it clearly
Just fed up…..
Felt like a long drive home
I felt the same about McCallister and Gross when they first arrived. Was at the game today. Watched him a lot. Very good when on the ball with time but weak and slow otherwise. Honestly not sure he has what it takes but have to hope he will get up to speed.
Yes, I’ve not been particularly impressed by O’Riley yet. Seems to think he has no defensive responsibilities. But he kept the shape throughout.

I take it that this isn't an attempt at irony or humour. Wieffer has many attributes, not so sure speed and agility are them though.Showing what he has in his armoury - speed and agility.
I'm more surprised we haven't yet seen more of Gruda. Thought he was this big rising German sensation?Yes, I’ve not been particularly impressed by O’Riley yet. Seems to think he has no defensive responsibilities.
I think that maybe no10 is his best position, whereas we are playing him as a no8.
Early days of course.
I can't believe they just posted that! Mind you, they are always right so I'm now starting to doubt my own eyes.I take it that this isn't an attempt at irony or humour. Wieffer has many attributes, not so sure speed and agility are them though.
Bit down the winger pecking order ?I'm more surprised we haven't yet seen more of Gruda. Thought he was this big rising German sensation?
Agree Igor lost it, however in his defence, he often does play out from the back and easily beats the press. The hospital pass in second half, he was just inside our half and tried to pass ball towards Mitoma near dugouts and scuffed/underhit pass, they picked it up and broke down right. Though structure is better with him on.

….and 2 or 3 better decisions/execution from forward players and we’d have been out of sight anywayAgree Igor lost it, however in his defence, he often does play out from the back and easily beats the press.
It didn't happen this time, probably because he wasn't up to speed (not surprising when he was bought on at 89 minutes).
Sure he should have just hoofed it, but he didn't.
Shit happens.
Yes, hoofing it first time isn’t always the best option and often results in pressure coming straight back, so carrying it a bit wasn’t necessarily a bad choice as far as game management was concerned. The reason Igor got himself into trouble was because of a terrible touch allowing the ball to get too far away from him. He’ll be gutted about this catastrophic loss of technique, but being brought on so late is some mitigation.Agree Igor lost it, however in his defence, he often does play out from the back and easily beats the press.

I do have concerns too about O’Riley, particularly in the defensive phases. But he has had a horrible injury that means he’s catching up in a way Weiffer shouldn’t be.Not only Wieffer though is it, where was O’Riley?

Edit - I honestly don’t know what Hurzeler was thinking today….
