Thoughts??
Yes. Very exciting.

Only Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea have failed to absolutely bollox up a game or two.

And we have lost......three. Yet a very tiny very noisy minority want Changes.

These are a good Changes.....

Not all all. Entirely predictable as it always has been?

Open in terms of 3rd to 19th. Think Liverpool and Chelsea will pull away and Saints getting adrift at bottom. Arsenal will be top 4 and can't write City off either although they were pulled apart by Palace at times. We really could've and should've been sitting comfortably in top 3 currently but for our frailties.

Defence's generally seem non existent this season across the board with an average of 3 goals a game from the 148 games played so far.

No, the top four is already settled and they will pull away

From 5th to 13th is wide open though
Yes, very open as to who will finish in the top 8. Only Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal seem capable of stringing a run of results together

It‘s a slightly strange season tbf

3 international breaks already this season plus the usual cup matches and UEFA/Europas matches, it’s a packed schedule so the season has felt like it’s come in fits and starts. It’s been hard for Clubs to develop consistency and momentum I would say.

Some of the bigger teams are struggling and some of the smaller teams eg AV, Forest, us, are preforming above expectation so maybe that’s levelled the field a bit more in the top half of the table.

TBH I never expected at the beginning of the season, to see Spurs, ManU and Newcastle in the bottom half of the table before Christmas or us touching 5th or 6th position through November.

No.... do you remember the 90s? Man Utd, Blackburn, Newcastle and Villa all involved for a few seasons at the top, Norwich in the mix , teams coming up and immediately challenging near the top, ...... and thats just the "Premier League" era.
Now, football has never been as stagnant and stratified as it is today. If City dont win it, it can only be ... Liverpool, Arsenal or Chelsea. Man Utd are usually in the group - but nobody else. Nobody outside that group has won anything of note besides Leicester City in over a decade. It used to be so much better.
OK - you did specify "the Premier League"...... but when I first got into football in the late 1960s, we were in the middle of a period in which nine different clubs won the league in a decade. Wolves, Burnley, Spurs, Ipswich, Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd, Man City and Leeds. Into the 70s, we had Arsenal, Derby and Nottingham forest too. That is 12 different clubs between 1959 and 1978. Now everybody gets excited if City drop points and Liverpool take over.
In my opinion - it used to be so much more interesting.

It has been the same schedule since we've been in the Premier League (other than the 22-23 season which was completely disrupted by the World Cup, of course).

I wonder why it is like it is? Suddenly all defenders are sh*te? Overall better attackers? Has it anything to do with this "new" risk and reward football we are seeing? Anyway, I think it's exciting, good to see teams like Newcastle, Spurs and Manure down the table.

Agreed, I think now we have more like US or ME corporations in the epl more than football teams, the stakes are huge, they will just buy the best players off any emerging teams and have huge resources...
