The traditional hand shake is ment to be a highly regarded symbol of respect and honour.
The scouts have a reputation to shake hands with the left hand as is closer to the heart.. supposedly to portray a sign of friendship and brotherhood.
If we read into this technique footballers adopted pre match, then one could assume that this type of shake means “ all the best, now get ready for 90mins of shithousery”
