Not just us but have defenders gone soft? They all seem frightened to head the ball (unless they have a goal scoring opportunity). Esp on corners, although Dunk tries not to head it at all if he can.

Man U have just let one in within 2 mins of KO.

United's shortest player marking Forest's tallest it looked like. Almost like a free header.

Dunk jumped up to head the ball at Craven Cottage and was pushed in the back.
He doesn’t avoid them.

He does. From long kicks down the middle he often tries to “ease” the opponent forward so he can’t head it, so Dunk can take it on his chest or let it run through. He has got it wrong a few times this year.

Dunk was pushed on the shoulder on the corner re Fulham. Not hard enough I would suggest to send him flying. O’Riley turned his back and we know what happened.

Dunk is not above constructive criticism.

Anyway, this thread isn’t about Dunk (I used him as an example), it’s about defenders.

I watched the game on tv, and saw replays. Dunk was pushed with two hands in the middle of his back, which was why he was so angry with the ref, even after the game.
You say this isn’t about Dunk, but it’s the only player you mentioned.

There may be the briefest moment two hands are touching Lewis Dunk, but the main push comes from one hand into his shoulder.

We've conceded just one goal from a corner this season and it was an OG. In fact, that was the first we'd conceded from a cross.

Read the first sentence of my OP. Next time I’ll get a panel to review my words before I hit “post”.

My OP wasn’t Albion specific. Watch recent defending by Man U for example where defenders make no attempt to head the ball.

I rarely comment on Albion team issues on here (I wait until I'm talking with my Albion mates) but Dunk clearly pushed one of our players in the back while defending a long ball down the middle in the first half on Thursday. If he'd not done that, Muniz could have turned him and been one on one at goal. So it was kind of karmic if he got manhandled at the corner.

It's about time. All of us could use a designated panel to review our words before we hit "post".

There would be a lot less posts.
