Does anyone else feel a little disappointed about this crappy modern “game of thrones” style hand shake?

What happened to the traditional, gentlemen handshake?

Perhaps they don't want it to dragon too long?

Ha ha..
Ahh come on. You know.. when the hands lock together with the elbows at a 90 degree angle, upright… and the hands either slap or pull each other closer to one another.

I assume it references the hand clutch with the forearm at c45 degrees, rather than the traditional handshake with both arms pretty much at the horizontal. But feels like that's been a thing for years. Every tennis match finishes with one of those.

The traditional handshake should have the forearm between 20 and 45 degrees. This modern chum effort sees the forearm at 90 degrees or over and conveys the message 'you're my bro and I think I'm cool'.
