Indeed they do but - get this - you can book one of each and **by magic** get a Fri-Fri holiday which covers both games.

“By magic”? The point I’m making is although I’m aware of this incredible phenomenon the term should really read “by remortgaging”

Heartwarming that 5 of the big 6 will have that extra money coming in.
What on the earth the justification is for choosing Villa/WH Heaven knows?

I can understand why they've picked all of those but you're right Villa v West Ham does rather stand out as the mid table PL clash where both sides might rotate a little.

I'd rather see Leeds v Harrogate. And I suspect the neutral would rather see Norwich v Brighton with a chance of an on paper shock.

Why choose Millwall v Dagenham rather than Harrogate v Leeds?

Can't think of Norwich without remembering the bloke I met in a chippy up there just after we got promoted. Unusual conversation...

Norwich fan (seeming genuine) "Congratulations on going up"
Me "Ah, thanks very much"
Norwich fan "Yeh, enjoy it. You've got no chance, you're coming straight back down"

Bit too much vinegar on his chips! Hope he's enjoyed watching us in Europe, Must be relishing the chance to see a decent team play live in January.
I remember some Norfolk yokels giving it large on the train back after we'd lost there thanks to Stockdale and missed a chance to win the Championship title. Saying without a hint of irony how crap we were, despite the fact we'd been promoted - and without acknowledging that they were probably the only side EVER to win a match 2-0 without having a single effort on target.

That 2-0 shall be remembered for the worstest ever hot dog (albeit gratis with the generous but long lost pie and a pint/ free travel) and the singing with accompanying finger clicking to the famous TV theme walking along to the stadium en mass.

Not really sure how it works but ITV now have a “premier league” match in their possession. Will it guarantee decent ratings? Can they resell the “product” to foreign channel? Will it raise their profile?
That might (or might not) be the reasons
