There have been 13 Premier League matches between Albion and Saints, and only ONE has ended in a home victory.
I don't believe in a bogey team stats, it 16 against 16 isn't it?

Its going to go wrong in people's minds by everyone believing the hype, getting carried away, and seriously thinking that a club that has completely changed its central midfield, that has 10 first team players aged 22 and under, and which has a 31 year old very inexperienced manager in his first season in England and first season in a top fight anywhere - can compete season long for a top 6 place.

Quite frankly getting top half would be a success, so to the question at hand, it can't really go wrong from here if everyone just controls their expectations...

...and pigs might fly. Already tonight we're seeing threads bashing the manager as if he's an experienced coach with 10+ seasons behind him, calling for our captain and best ever player to be dropped after his first start back from injury, laying into young players who have spent most of the season on the bench and are making the odd mistake.

We've got exciting young talent capable of playing exhilarating front-foot football. But also capable of making the most frustrating errors. All part of the journey, enjoy the ride.

Expectations ...... yes nail on head there.
So last night we had not only the "europe again" chant but also a champions league one, talk about getting ahead of oneself! It is almost inevitable that when such lofty expectations are not being met fans will not look at themselves and think maybe they are expecting too much but turn on the team with criticism. Now some of that will undoubtedly be justified but calling one of our own players "dogshit", as i overheard last night is OTT in my opinion.
It makes me wonder if there is a direct correlation between those joining in the europe chants and those leaving the ground early as that person fell into both camps.

Think you're spot on and I don't blame people for getting carried away. Because in moments we are exceptional, just need to have perspective.

Improving the consistency is clearly the target judging by hurzelers recent press conferences. But this takes time.

Objectively it's an absolutely cracking position to be in: FIFTH in the EPL going into the hectic Christmas period. By any normal measure this is the Albion Stuff Of Dreams. Tho at the same time there's a definite underlying feeling of the wheels wobbling a bit and maybe about to come off. This run of 'easier' games is suddenly looking far from easy
