Today’s Deal or No Deal.

Two boxes left £5k and £100k. Banker offers £59k.

What would you do?

What? No way would the banker offer that. Have you made a typo?

Obviously deal at £59k.

It was actually for £59,670. She went No Deal, and only had £5k in her box. Had she had the £100k she would have been the first jackpot winner on the rebooted show.

I'd have dealt at £59k all the way.

As would anyone with a basic understanding of maths I would think. I couldn’t believe she didn’t accept hence the poll!

Nope. That is what was offered. And rejected.

Unless they were super rich, that was a pretty dumb decision (regardless whether or not they got lucky). I haven't seen the program since it started. but the banker would always offer a lot less than the average remaining box. Why on earth did they offer so much?

Obviously. Did she explain her brainless decision? Like if she said 'I'm already worth £5m and was just here for the fun' I'd think fair enough.

I didn’t pay full attention but she dismissed it very quickly but without any explanation other than to say “you are only here once”. The rest of the contestants looked shocked that she went no deal. She did say she was made up with £5k at the end.

You aren’t going to win the jackpot without taking some risks but I doubt many would have been risking a near £60k offer on the final box, especially when there would have only been two boxes in the entire game higher than that offer.

Her name was Dori though so maybe she shares more than just a name with her fish namesake.

I watched it, and I would’ve accepted the deal before at £21K.

She still won £5000, so probably enjoyed the thrill of the gamble.
