I'm originally from Barnet and was at the game and I remember being outraged at the ticket price for some reason and there was talk at school of boycotting the game....we went.

My main memories of the replay were the Gary Sargent screamer for the Bees and Mickey Thomas diving for a penalty to the Albion. It was a long time ago and these memories may not be entirely accurate :D

Barry Fry a Barnet legend and one of football's great characters.

nowhere near Burgess Hill
Loved Underhill and that slope and of course the pub straight outside. Also loved the Barry Fry is a clown renditions. Good times.

Swindon, but used to be Manila
Evening squire. Digweed was at the club 81 to 93. I was only an occasional visitor to Portslade then, living in London 81-82, then Canada for 4 years, then back to London, so this sadly passed me by.

Sully lived in a house on the Old Shoreham Road (for the first year or so of his time with us, at least). Somehow Reg knew about it and pointed out the house every time we drove past it.

"Sully lives there" he would say.
After the first 50 mentions, I'm pretty sure I knew the layout of the house, the pattern on the living room wallpaper, and Sully's favourite meal.
It was prawn cocktail followed by gammon and pineapple, all nicely rounded off with spotted Dick and, at the weekend, a lovely slice of Black Forest Gateaux.

Hope all's well. Not spotted you on the West Upper concourse for a while
Thats because we have been East Upper since ESU opened....

Getting a wee bit confused here .....just checked the dates and your correct Digweed was 81-93 but I moved to Hong Kong in 81 .......but im 100 percent sure it was him......need to get in the attic and looked for the signed programmes..

Post cup final, back in the 2nd division, standing on the west terrace and whoever was manager then (Chris Caitlin?) spent most of the first half yelling instructions at Graham Pearce. Eventually someone behind me shouted in a voice that could be hear throughout the ground "Pearcey, Pearcey, for gawds sake listen to him he giving me a f@+&ing headache" Strange what you remember!
"Oy ref! It's people like you that give bastards like me a bad name!"

(That was the bloke with the Hartlepools bobble hat at Withdean)
