I was teaching some students today about drugs that affect the autonomic nervous system (the unconscious part that controls fight fright flight, blood pressure, getting a boner, etc.). I like to digress to anecdote, and when discussing the adverse effects of alpha-1 antagonists, I almost started talking about the adverse effects of a drug I'm taking for BPH, then realized that may have been 'too much information'

Yeah, in theory he's old enough to be my grandson but I'd have to have been shagging instead of studying for my A levels - which may well have been more interesting than differential calculus but wouldn't have got me to uni
