Decent set of fixtures for us with a few of the teams around us playing eachother. Win would be massive and make Southampton quickly forgotten
As it stands, 12 clubs - more than half the league - are separated by 7 points, and we're in that group. In fact, already the league looks like two mini leagues, with only Liverpool and West Ham not belonging in either.

A really interesting fixture for Liverpool. Obviously they are flying, but when you look at their fixture list, only 6 away league games, against the bottom four clubs, a useless Man Utd, and Arsenal, which they drew. So they've beaten us, Chelsea, Villa and City at home, but they are surely going to have a run of tough aways - Newcastle, Brighton, Villa, Chelsea, Spurs, Fulham, Brentford, Forest, City, Bournemouth and their erstwhile rivals Everton all to come....

Looks like Amazon have got some nice fixtures there. Wednesday night certainly sorted.
Cant see Brentford or Spurs picking up more than 1 point each.
Saints looked OK and may get a draw out of Chelsea.
City v Forest, surely he has to win soon. Points shared would be nice.
Happy for Arsenal to win.
Win for us please.

It's tough keeping ahead of the pack, a win would definitely help creating some separation with the big group in the middle. There really is no rest in this festive season.

This is my big problem with the plethora of international breaks early in the season, it creates this ridiculous festive schedule which could affect the season disproportionately. Definitely not a good time to have a player out for a couple of weeks, you could end up being understrength for many more games than you would with a sensible schedule.

Also this made for TV game everyday BS can get in the bin aswell.

Not so.

If we lose by 3, we are 23pts and +2 GD.

A Forest v City DRAW would take them both above us.

Their two best players at ours - Dibling and Harwood-Bellis (sp?) are both suspended. Chelsea will win by at least 3 goals IMO.

On another game, Ipswich v Palace has a rather large feels to it. If Ipswich could get 3 points......
Likewise Wolves at Everton (who I think are really close to genuinely being in the shite).

Can't say I agree with your analysis at all. Between the weekend of Saturday Nov 23rd and Saturday Jan 4th there are 7 weekends in total. We will play 9 matches in that period - ie only 2 extra matches than one every weekend.

Downes who should have been sent off against us is also suspended for Southampton after his 5th yellow card.

Ipswich have lost Axel Tuanzebe, who I thought was superb against us and kept Mitoma quiet all game, to a hamstring injury. My best mate who is an Ipswich fan is gutted as when he's played he's been one of their stand out performers.

Ipswich's cup final tomorrow. At the end of the game, the home fans will be applauding the visitors off such commanding their performance will be. The game will be spoken about for decades because of the world class performances. Rabbits in headlights. Newly promoted clubs just cannot expect anything from European powerhouses..
