Sorry to be the barber of bad news but I had a similar problem and tried several options including soundbars and the like but all had a delay in the headphones, in the end i spent £399 on a 50” Samsung with blue tooth and now enjoy wireless headphones and all the lovely silence for the rest of the house, i’m assuming to your current tv doesn’t have a headphone jack you could just plug in?

You might want to get your hearing checked out. I had the same, and it turned out I had some hearing loss and needed hearing aids. Which I hardly ever wear, but...Why do you want headphones?
