In December 1914, an unofficial Christmas truce on the Western Front allows soldiers from opposing sides of the First World War to gain insight into each other's way of life.

It’s such a lovely film if a little cheesy in parts.
I always get something in my eye when I watch it.

Home Alone 2

Stormy Daniels wasn't the only thing that Trump was allowed in and then paid off to keep quiet about. Home Alone 2 allowed Trump in "the film" and then he paid for the hotel advertising.

A Christmas Carol (Scrooge) Musical 1970 with Albert Finney in the title role
I love this film. An excellent cast including Alec Guinness. Music and lyrics by Leslie Bricusse; I Hate People is hilarious and 'You' captures the sadness in Scrooge's heart.

I believe a lot of the sets were reused from Oliver!

Gotta be It’s a Wonderful Life, one of my favourite movies. I “visit” Bedford Falls every year.

Also, Die Hard, Love Actually (yes, seriously), The Snowman, Wallace & Gromit (not really Christmas settings, but feel like knockabout Christmas fun) and of course National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.

“Why’s the floor all wet, Taaaahhhd?”

I also love the Jonathan Creek Christmas special “Black Canary”, the Bottom Christmas episode “Holy”, the Father Ted Christmas episode… and a few others I’ll watch every year but can’t think of right now because my head is a shed.

We like to try and watch a Christmas film every day which means we end up watching the really shit ones, the made for TV ones where a high powered businesswoman has to go home for the holidays and falls in love with the charming single father who's secretly a Prince.

Or the ones where two people who don't like Christmas or other people meet each other and then realise they actually do love Christmas and especially like each other.

We do watch the entire Lord of the RIngs trilogy every December as well so they're Christmas films in our house.

I always watch an Indiana Jones film at Christmas. Obvs they’re not Christmas films.

Yes, but the main character has a great first name.

All the classics have mostly been mentioned but there's a few tangentially Christmas films I usually slap on before getting to the real stuff.

Lethal Weapon
Batman Returns
Trading Places (more a New Year one)
Harry Potters that have big Christmas parts. (1 and 5 spring to mind)
Bridget Jones' Diary
Rocky 4
Edward Sciccorhands
